To think the board are up in arms about the possibility of Scotlands future champions being excluded from CL.

WE WONT BE IN IT AT ANY STAGE NEXT SEASON IF WE DONT SACK THIS CLOWN AND WIN THE BLOODY LEAGUE!.

We need to win the league. Get it done, sack him and do it today.
Posted this in the Deila thread.

Heard there is an unscheduled meeting today. Not sure if this is a regular thing or just a coincidence but hopefuly it's to address this mess. Maybe someone in the know can confirm?
Hope your right.

Shortest meeting in years.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Enough tools are provided for the Celtic manager to romp the league and compete in Europe. The manager is failing on both. Yes, you can say all roads lead to Rome and they hired the manager, but it's not like they've hamstrung him to the point of being where we are.
The blame for hiring the manager who is failing rests with those who hired him. So yes, the ultimate blame lies with Lawwell and the board. That does not, of course, absolve Ronny of his own responsibility. He has the players and the resources to be taking care of business. But ultimately - as with any business - the failure of a department should rest with the department head. That is certainly not Ronny (who needs to be sacked immediately) - that is those above him starting with Lawwell.
Yep. However my point was more aimed at the type of argument that I was overhearing as I left, that replacing the manager won't make a difference. He's not been given money or players etc. That might be true if we're talking about CL Group Stage level, but struggling against Ross County, Hamilton, Dundee, Kilmarnock etc... then it most certainly is not. And that is even before you consider Malmö, Molde, Maribor or Legia Warsaw.

Can't believe this bunch of muppets wanted Deila replaced in December nd couldn't find a caretaker or replacement so stuck with a manager they obviously had no confidence in. effing outrageous. :nono:
That's what worries me.

Sad fact is that they have spent money - had they spent it on 3 quality players rather than 10 "projects" we'd have been better off.

They need to wake up to the fact that this isn't a science lab for test tube footballers. Few folk will pay top dollar to watch development level footballers who will get punted as soon as pays up.

The wage on offer to a new manager is the problem. Delia was the cheapest option when he got the job, And if they have sounded anyone out, that will be the major hurdle to overcome.

This board are so clueless that they'll probably sack Deila and appoint Brown and Commons until the end of the season.

How many Season Tickets have we sold? I thought it was 42500...reason I'm asking is because we always count STs for Attendance but the figure given last night was 41451, given that there was only about 25k there tops and maybe about 150 Dundee fans the given attendance seems lower than normal, has people paying monthly perhaps chucked it?

Genuine question.
Why does Lawwell get paid so much?
Is it almost unprecedented to pay that much to a CEO for a company our size? It certainly must be for non regular CL small nation football club.
So, on what basis is his salary calculated, it surely can't be the footballing side of the business & I can't really see it being the business side either.

Does DD just pay him well over the odds & hope that he can leave him to run everything without supervision or care.

Its like we're back in the days of the Kellys and Whytes. A bunch of guys running the club into the ground, but taking a handsome wage from the club

Just before the Dawn

This Board needs a total overhaul. We need fresh blood from top to bottom. The decline we have witnessed in the last few years would have seen any corporate Board dismantled. The cold hard fact is that Celtic is the plaything of an absentee Landlord and an Accountant, and nothing that happens on the pitch matters as long as cocktails with Rod Stewart are on the agenda.
Lawwell has outstayed his welcome by some years now. He claims otherwise, but he has no idea how deep the feelings of the fans run, and how disenchanted we are. The level of disconnect between the club and it's support is as wide as it has been since the death throes of the Kelly/White era.
That he has the total support of the main shareholder and the Board should be a cause for grave concern. There is not one solitary dissenting voice amongst the decision makers. That is terrifying.
We have missed the greatest open goal we have ever been given, and we will live to regret it. Nothing will change unless everything changes.

If we fail to win the title this year, it's because the board failed to do the bleedin obvious after Molde. You could argue they should have done it after Malmo. It is a disgrace that they have allowed this to fester. And WGS as caretaker - do me a favour?

The silence from the board is almost as infuriating as knowing Ronny is still the manager.

I'd honestly love to know on what grounds he's still here & what do they see happening.

I can only assume they don't care or have no idea what to do, so are just hoping for the best. I won't give them the credit for having someone lined up for next season, so I don't see that as being a reason.
