I effin told you so for years :ph43r:

He put all MoN's old guard on long term contracts when he came in - we got hee haw for a lot of them - that accentuated the problem for the strachan years and then he used the leeds hun argument to tighten the purse strings (fletcher anyone) increase his power year upon year to a point where the absentee landlord let's him treat it as his plaything Football Manager anyone

Its like a case study in how to assume almost complete control, get your hands on 400% increase and eff up a business

:ph43r: Credit where credit's due though he did bring Paul McBride in to do a fantastic job v the SFA

It sounds more and more as if Desmond is the biggest problem. Only he can make the significant changes needed. He has to be called to task. Somehow.
There was an episode of the Vicar of Dibley where they took over a golf course.

I really wish we had people in our current support that would lead a campaign against our board. With social media it's very easy to organise. We have to do something
Sadly, to paraphrase Peter Mandelson, some folk are extremely comfortable at getting shafted by extremely rich people

If people won't leave the ground how about a wee lateral movement and song combination?

we all know how het up the board get at lateral movement
Do we have any "strong wordsmiths" who can come up with a suitable chant?
in this post Bowie era, something like this, to the (appropriate) tune of Rebel Rebel... :ph43r:

I see all the bleating about his salary but that's all that will happen. When the chance came to have a go at the man who gives Lawwell the money in the first place last year - the re-election as a director of Tom Allison who is head of the club's remuneration committee and is also PL's great mate - only one person voted against him staying on the board. Maybe if we throw away the title (no I don't want that to happen) then people will finally sit up and notice how badly we are actually run.

Tom "I collect cars " Allison is definitely part of the faults within Celtic and he is the one who has twice got PL to Celtic.

We're not set up for football success. Putting a winning team on the park has been secondary to signing players we can sell for a profit at a later date. We run a scouting factory for the EPL.

When your CEO is incentiviised to do that, you're going nowhere at warp speed.

PL's salary and bonus for the past 10 years, via @Napoleon_Celtic on Twitter

No problem with the figures from 2008 and before, that's about what I'd expect a club of our size to be spending on CEO remuneration (although that is still a hell of a series of pay rises between 2004 and 2008).

How the eff the massive increases from 2009 are justified I don't know.
Then cast your eyes to this 2014 article about Liverpool's CEO and how much his 2012/13 package was worth £1,03m on a club turnover of £203m

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/04/liverpool-financial-fair-play-50m-annual-loss-accounts

"The club's income showed a relatively modest increase to £206m in 2012-13 from the £169m reported for a ten-month period to 31 May 2011 in the previous accounts".

"The highest paid director at Liverpool was paid a salary package of £1.035m; it is presumed to be Ayre, as he is the only full-time director on the board of the club".

Think it was the bold Harry Brady who cast that vote

Everything has been downsized at the club, apart from the package offered to this greedy bazza . how on earth can this be justified on our turnover ,failure to qualify for the champions league should see zero bonus for him, instead his bonus goes up,he cant lose .

I won't be putting in another bean whilst we are handing out bonuses to people excelling at mediocrity. As a shareholder as well I will be asking to raise the issue at the next AGM. I'd like a bit of clarity as to what constitutes success and qualification for a bonus, who decides if the performance merits a reward and who ensures those making these decisions don't have a vested interest in ensuring bonuses are kept high.

It's a total carve up.
