Clearly not 100% the doing of the board (but obviously the consequence of their actions), we played tonight with an attacking 3 behind the striker of:

Armstrong - McGregor - Mackay-Steven

That's a decent Scottish Premiership attacking midfield. Not much more. If those in charge felt we lacked competition post the demise of the huns, they've done a stellar job in trying to make the league competitive once more.

In terms of a medium to long term football strategy we appear totally rudderless. There's not even a sense of being a work in progress.
Football wise we have been rudderless for years, the football side as they call it has been neglected almost to death .
Peter Lawwell has the say and he took an enormous gamble bringing in Ronnie , it has backfired because we have failed to qualify for the champions league on two occasions 3 if you count Legia and our performances in Europe have been a bloody embarrassment , this has cost the club or as they call it ,the business approaching £30 million in lost revenue ,never mind the damage caused to our reputation and future seeding .plus the football we are watching is so so boring its actually driving punters away .For this Lawwell is paid a cool 20 grand a week .

The team is rank rotten , no spine ,no strength , no guile and worst of all no bottle . Lawwell and the rest of the imposters in the board get an easy ride while Ronnie who is out his depth and should never ever been considered for the job takes the pressure .
Yip £30m in lost revenues under Delia

add to this

Ciftci £ 1.5m
Boerrigter £ 2.2m
Johansen £ 1.5m
Boyata £ 1.2m
Pukki £ 3m
Scepovic £ 2.2m
Balde £ 2.2m
Bangoura £ 2.2m

Total £ 16m

2016 : Piss poor squad who are powder puff and incapable of coming back in any game after going behind.
2016 : Stadium half empty
2016 : Gone from Champions League Battlers to unable to win any games in the Europa League

So since the huns died, would it be fair to say that President Lawwell has made an almighty eff up of the situation ?

I'm fed up of the board but I'm even more fed up of reading inaccurate transfer fees on the net. Most of those signings didn't cost what you've put down.

That has the makings of a decent conspiracy theory.

Not having a dig but a lot of the price tags attributed to players are inflated in the press to make it look like we are spending money we aren't. Then when the player fails the real price comes out. It's all about pr spin with our club and its a effing grind to read their lies being repeated by fans who obviously are fed up of them as well.

Pukki signs = big headlines of £2million+/£3million transfer
Pukki fails = he didn't actually cost that much so fans shouldn't be upset at us wasting cash

No problem ;)

Lawwell is well known for his lies, so I suppose we will never really know the true figures

But all in all we have bought a load of shampooe over the years

In any other business the people responsible would be fired

How the hell did we end up in this state ?

Ciftci £ 1.25m

Johansen £ 1.5m
Boyata £ 1.5m
Pukki £ 2.4m
Scepovic £ 1.8m
Balde £ 1.8m
Bangoura £ 2.6m

From memory I think those were the figures £14.55m...if thats the case it doesn't make it any less of a complete balls up

The current board are so far out of touch with how the fans feel and don't show signs of caring. I hope some display of just how scunnered with their stewardship most fans are is made soon.

Been said before that we had an historic opportunity to bury the huns when they died but this board has fecked it up so badly they may even come up next and be competitive. Still at least Peter Pennypincher gets his £500k a year bonus!

Those figures are wrong as well. It doesn't make it any less of a eff up but does explain things. We are shopping at the bottom end of the market but instead of aiming for the best players we can get we aim for those who we believe will bring is the most profit.

That's exactly it I'm afraid. Building a team is simply not on the agenda & hasn't been for several years now.
Instead of trying to establish ourselves as a regular Champions League group team we buy purely with the hope of selling quickly for a profit. Going down the cheap option route for players & particularly managers, has cost us millions & damaged our future prospects in a huge way & is something that will take years to recover from,if at all.

Those figures may not be 100% but remember we've had to pay these guys wages as well. Boerrigter, Pukki and Scepovic were (are) amongst our highest earners.

The only fans group who have publically criticised the board recently was the green brigade after malmo. As i recall there were loads of fans booing their banner that day and they were heavily criticised thereafter.

Its time lawwell and park walked.

That banner pretty much sums up the season.

I'm beginning to think Lawwell wants out anyhow. Don't think he has the bottle to be CEO when it comes time to fight for the lost leagues. Heard he's already saying he's for the off because of personal reasons. I just hope it's not because he's bricking it against thep

He must also be realising the how big the rebuilding job is gonna be after the farce he's presided over these last few seasons. Let someone else clean up the mess.

Of course, Desmond could put someone even worse in PL's place, depending on whose advice he takes. (i.e. who his golf partner is that day.)

nothing will change until Lawwell goes. The only man who can force that change doesn't care, as long as he gets to dine at the top tables and play with the top golfers . Desmond uses Celtic. How we change that is the real question.
