In terms of a medium to long term football strategy we appear totally rudderless. There's not even a sense of being a work in progress.
Football wise we have been rudderless for years, the football side as they call it has been neglected almost to death .
Peter Lawwell has the say and he took an enormous gamble bringing in Ronnie , it has backfired because we have failed to qualify for the champions league on two occasions 3 if you count Legia and our performances in Europe have been a bloody embarrassment , this has cost the club or as they call it ,the business approaching £30 million in lost revenue ,never mind the damage caused to our reputation and future seeding .plus the football we are watching is so so boring its actually driving punters away .For this Lawwell is paid a cool 20 grand a week .

The team is rank rotten , no spine ,no strength , no guile and worst of all no bottle . Lawwell and the rest of the imposters in the board get an easy ride while Ronnie who is out his depth and should never ever been considered for the job takes the pressure .
Your last paragraph Frank sums up tonight's game exactly

Our board are part of this shambles, particularly Peter Lawwell. Time for him to go also. Destroying the club.

Money is the only thing the board will react to - is it time for a boycott, an even emptier stadium than now will send a message

If ever there was need for a collective campaign for Celtic fans to get these chancers out, it would be now.

Sadly there's not enough stomach for a fight.

Will we ever again have a manager that has 100% control of signings and scouting?

Ever ever?

true.

exactly what is needed and has been for some time.

The last 2 AGM's have been side-tracked by giant squirrels, probably orchestrated by the board themselves. First the "living wage" debate & then the "racist fans" debacle. both times this deflected from the real issues at the heart of the club - Lawwell's negligence.

Just look at how poor we are now from top to bottom and look at all the empty seats at the games week after week, we are haemorrhaging fans at an alarming rate.

The vanity project should never be near a club at our unless it is in charge of development or the reserves.

Wake up FFS we are sleepwalking here we we should be storming the car-park!!

How about the next home game no one spends a penny, nothing in the club shop, the half time draw or any of the food outlets

Simple but sends a message

whoever is in charge of signings, they've made 22 of them since deila's been in charge

22

22 players in 4 transfer windows and we're this bad

it's difficult to get the sack at celtic park these days

It sounds more and more as if Desmond is the biggest problem. Only he can make the significant changes needed. He has to be called to task. Somehow.

For Ronnie to go, Lawwell has to admit that his boy has been a failure - whilst I think that is now blatantly obvious, I doubt PL will want to accept this or the likes of Tom Allison will try and get him to acknowledge it . If DD was so annoyed by a home cup defeat to Aberdeen that he had words with NL then you would hope that the last 75 hours might force his hand - but I wouldn't hold my breath.

So reminiscent of the last time the board fecked up with a managerial appointment.

Rather than spending a consistent level of cash in bringing in quality players over the course of a few seasons we instead provided Mowbray with minimum funding only to later discover we were fecked and so instead threw wads of cash at a number of players, Keane, Kamara, Braafeid etc only to then be left with a surplus of rotten overpaid players that Lenny wouldn't play.

Bringing in the number of average at best players we've done is not a strategy that will benefit the team. Galling thing is that you'd have to think the likes of Cole, Kazim must be on £15k a week for 18 and 30 months respectively. Mental :cuckoo:

Board has lost the plot and learned nothing from previous failings. Number of players on our books must be highest it's been for a long time and will be difficult to shift.

Only someone with purely philanthropic motives would buy him out. Unfortunately, dodgy businessmen and Middle East invest funds want the EPL and the CL. We offer neither. Is there anyone out there - be it one person or a group of people - with the cash to do something with the club?

Edit: spelling

Everything that annoys you about the team and club just now is down to the board. They are culpable and should be held to account but have the perfect patsy in Deila and will no doubt appojnt another patsy when Deila goes. I long to hear the majority of fans turn on Lawwell and the board instead of individual players or managers.
