You could find similar comments out of order comments on every subject discussed at the AGM, for years, finding and remaking on them making it personal bringing it up, was used to make anyone else wanting board members removed position weaker and side track the real debate about the club's future, deflect from the boards failings. CELTIC is now a Rich man's members only club, who don't actually care about the team, football performance or the support. So the last thing on their minds is living wage, charitable pursuits ect, Unless it will effect their own bottom line, bonus. They are effing wraiths that have destroyed my club slowly from the inside.when was the last time a board member put money into celtic.

Putting aside my own personal dislike of Lord Livingstone I actually agree that Bankier was aiming his remarks at the people that posted that stuff online and not the wider support.

Garbage, absolute garbage. He absolutely intended to make a sweeping statement which implied that anyone who opposed Livingstone's re-election was an abusive, anti-Semite. In the ensuing furor it completely moved the discussion away from the real reason to the opposition to Livingstone's continued participation on the board. It was simply one Tory Bastard circling the wagons for another.
This, spot on.

Bankier knew exactly what he was doing. He, Lawwell and the rest knew fine well to expect it tight over Livingstone, Article 12/the ongoing fight for justice, or both. What he said was crass and deeply insulting, but he knew exactly what he was trying to achieve and how to do go about it, and it pretty much worked. That he/The Board didn't give a flying **** about the glee with which our enemies in the MSM would sieze upon it speaks volumes for the utter contempt they have for supporters and their desperation to hold on to their cosy little numbers. Playing the victim card in order to distract from accusations of self interest dilutes and trivialises racism and sectarianism, and that is an unforgivable act for Celtic officials to engage in.

Week in, week out Celtic supporters endure such abuse without so much as a peep from the Board, who hide their gutlessness behind the suggestion that they cannot complain due to the handful of (innappropriate) Rebs a tiny minority of Celts sing. For years, too, they have turned a deaf ear while huns of every hue engage in a campaign to systematically besmirch Jock Stein, and mock the Famine. They have done eff all to stand up against these outrages, but are all of a sudden up in arms because one of them gets pathetic abuse on the internet? The good for nothing, lying bastards. Last year our club was accused in national press and TV by the Rangers Trust of harbouring a "culture of racism and sectarianism" in the wake of the Tonev case. Why didn't they act to protect Celtic's name and batter those ***** down, which they could have done, with RST being a body that is officially sanctioned by Sevco?

This is nothing less than a challenge to us, a 'come ahead'. If we want rid of them we must withdraw our support.
Very good points.

You need to understand how effin clueless this board are

After getting humped by malmo and seeing the el draw they were saying may be no bad thing as good chance of European football after Christmas - spoon fed this crap by lawwell no doubt but they believe it

And think ronnie is the man

Our only hope is DD asks MON or Keane for their view

The whole strategy, and those running it need ripped up.
Too many players getting a wage who aren't up to it. Smaller squad, better youngsters as backups would spread our resources much better and is what should have been started 3 or 4 years ago instead of this scatter gun and hope for a gem nonsense.

Exactly. We have a big club set up with a small club mentality and budget. We employ too many people.

I'm done, unless there is a major reassessment of the clubs ambitions with some proper money put in place to help that happen they're not getting another penny from me. An absolute fecking disaster when the balance sheet is more important than the actual product on the park.

Yep it really does.

Absolutely nothing will change for the better until he is gone. Bring a new manager in and apply the same handcuffs and we'll get the same results. Deila needs to shoulder his share of the blame, but Lawwell and the other men in the boardroom are ruining the Club.

I'm done. This isn't Celtic. That carrot DD can attend an AGM with Ladbrokes with his 2% holding about to become worthless and he cant be arsed to attend our AGMS with his 51% holding. How close to being declared bankrupt in some off shore tax haven is he?...like his other irish chums. The carrot obviously doesn't have any cash. another empire built on sand which I hope comes crashing around his ears soon. the quicker he sells his share in Celtic, the better. Lawwell will bolt as soon as this happens.if not hounded out of CP before then. these feckers have ruined our club in the pursuit of personal wealth. we're rotten from the top down. we've never been so rich and so poor.
