Serious question: was this Lord Livingstone re-elected at todays AGM, or not?

Where do you start with that mess?

Tory bastards indeed. We're beneath them in their view , arrogant *****.

Is it wrong to say that our clubs becoming unrecognisable these days?
no there's nothing wrong in saying that.
it would be wrong to argue with it.

can we finally have a joint fan effort to get these effers out?
Yep, don't go to any more games. We have done it before and will do it again.

I think we have to boycott games. We don't want to end up like the ***** on the other side of town who pay for the privilege to be monumentally shafted by their so called directors. We must show we will not meekly sit back and take the dross they throw at us.

Have taken time to consider my post after several attempts and then deciding my comments were too strong.

I despair, I really do. Final confirmation if ever it were needed that our board have entirely lost touch with the fan base and the ethos of our Club, not theirs. They are but mere custodians and what a shambles they are making of it.

I would be most pleased to see the back of every single one of them and believe that steps should be taken to form a fans organisation to accumulate savings over the next years with a view to fan control. It will take time, vision, commitment and team work, but it could be done.

Stuff the lot of them.
I think many of us would happily subscribe to a fans' trust organisation that sought to build and acquire at least a stake large enough to block a complete takeover. Can anyone be arsed though?
That's a difficult question to answer. We are on a board talking to folk with vaguely similar views- although not always!

It should not be rushed.

But there are precedents elsewhere which can be improved upon.

Season ticket sales are down. What if there was a call to halt their purchase and sales fell by 50% or 25% with remainder paying at the gate. That would get attention. With no major competitor, the timing is conducive.

However, more is required than that action, and plenty of debate to cover before we even venture on concepts like that.

No, boycott is not the answer on this case.

I think today's farce was enough of an own goal that at least Livingston and probably Bankier will quietly depart the scene. I would guess that this will happen once the season is over.

Much as public blood letting would be cathartic it won't come to that.

That being said, a clear demonstration that the fans are beyond upset at this from People who not only should but do know better is no bad thing.

Do they really believe fans will blindly renew season tickets?
Yeah. Because they will.

Especially given that the mighty Glasgow Rangers will be back next season, I'm fairly certain there'll actually be an increase in tickets next year.
Couldn't give a damn about Sevco's return to the SPL, but this isn't the Celtic I support. I don't think season tickets will go up, but there will be a gradual decline as supporters grow weary of an out-of-touch board and mediocre team performances.
Nah, they'll go up.

The returning thousands don't give a stuff about living wage proposals, or the politics of a director.

It's about 'rivalry.'

See, that falls into the cutting your nose off to spite your face category.

Do we really want to further weaken the team on the pitch in an attempt to bring the club forward?

There are enough ways to subtly let the club know enough is enough from Bankier/Livingston.

I have just read Paul 67's opinion of today's AGM shambles - and even he is struggling to support Livingston and Bankier

Both directors' positions at Celtic are untenable. Both should resign - immediately.

Such as? What do they understand apart from income streams?

This

A season book boycott impacts the quality of the team, and guarantees no CL football, and further damage to our coefficient.

a single season boycott would make the point without doing too much long term damage.

it's not like we would've made a big money signing in the next year or so anyway and it might give them a kick up the arse they need.

If you're talking about Ian McLeod. The Daily Ranger may have had a picture of him in a hun top but he was far from being a hun
