The board really don't care about the fans. They are so far out of touch it is unbelievable. I can't wait for the day that they are gone. Would love to see more being done to replace them. Not sure what though.

Going by recent events the club view the support as smelly racists.

Can it really be that the board of the club don't care what the fans think?

Do they really believe fans will blindly renew season tickets?

This clown is the very antitheses of what this club is about, he might be a good business man but he's not a good Celtic man.
Would a good businessman insult his customers like that?

I'll be honest, I didnt have a clue what bankier or Livingston looked like before today, never mind either mans religion. Despite that, I was pretty sure they were both *****

Confirmed today

I'm sure there will come a tipping point that will lead to a mass exodus of supporters. I'm absolutely effing scunnered.

With the return of the hun fan and their new team they are gambling that season ticket sales might even grow. To be honest I think they will prevail unless there is a united front from all fan groups and web site forums.

Yeah. Because they will.

Especially given that the mighty Glasgow Rangers will be back next season, I'm fairly certain there'll actually be an increase in tickets next year.

not by much. certainly nowhere near the levels the board will be expecting IMO

i think they are in for a big shock once that mob get promoted. i know plenty of folk (diehards for 20+ years) who have gave it up at some point or the other and very few if any return. i dont see many rushing back next summer although they will obviously queue out all day for the individual match tickets against them

one thing that alarms me is these clowns on the board will be responsible for getting justice for us if there is no appeal to the supreme court.

what chance have we got? they just won't have the heart for it and obviously cgaf about our concerns.

Signed.

Should help prevent the Govan team meeting the same fate as their predecessors. Chasing Lions can be fatal.
Oh, forget Lions, they got half stung to death by Wasps last season

Quite ironic :)

With every passing day Celtic becomes more and more just another identikit corporate football club, interchangeable with any of 100s of others.

Kano Foundation, Green Brigade food drives, Celtic Graves Society, etc. that's where the soul of Celtic can be found at the moment. Not in the boardroom and not on the pitch.

The club need to drop the whole Club Like No Other nonsense when it's blatantly untrue. They might as well use The Best A Man Can Get or some other vacuous pish.
This, all of this :worthy:

Bankier is either an arse or an incompetent. Either way he should be getting to eff away from our club.
Whether Bankier is an arse or incompetent is actualy irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, which isn't that unusual for the chairman of an AIM listed company.
The real culprit is the man who drove us onto that particular trading market, and who doesn't even bother to put a face on it by turning up for the AGM.
His go-fer happily pockets his obscene bonus whilst doing his masters bidding. Which to be fair to our smug CEO, is a step-up from his first job at our club, when he was Terry Cassidy's message-boy.
If only the billionaire (with never nothin' spare) took as big an interest in us as he does with some of his other business interests:

Ladbrokes and Coral merger 'wrong deal', says Dermot Desmond

Irish billionaire and Ladbrokes shareholder says Coral will be main winner and deal will lead to ‘death’ of Ladbrokes
Dermot Desmond wants shareholders to insist on advice from an independent investment bank.

The Irish billionaire has attacked the proposed £2bn-plus merger between Ladbrokes and Coral, saying he believed it to be a “wrong deal”.

Desmond, who is a shareholder in Ladbrokes, said on Wednesday the winners in any transaction would be the Coral shareholders and he has urged Ladbrokes investors to vote against the proposal at the group’s EGM next Tuesday.

Instead of the merger, Desmond, who is also a shareholder in Celtic football club, wants Ladbrokes shareholders to insist on the appointment of an independent committee to the board, with advice from an independent investment bank. He hopes this might lead to an alternative plan.

Desmond points out that since the announcement of the deal on 24 July, Ladbrokes shares have fallen from 130p to 109p, wiping out £200m in shareholder value.
In contrast, he pointed out, since the announcement of the merger between Paddy Power and Betfair, their share prices have increased 35% and 20% respectively.

He said Ladbrokes’ chairman, Peter Erskine, and chairman designate, John Kelly, have “led Ladbrokes down the disastrous path to a deal that is effectively the death of Ladbrokes as an independent company”.

Ladbrokes said it remained confident its shareholders would back the deal.

In a statement, the group said: “We have had significant dealings with Mr Desmond as both a shareholder and a commercial partner over recent times. We note his views and are not surprised by them as he has been in extensive dialogue with the management team and not been afraid to talk of undertaking such action. As a shareholder he has a right to express his view and to vote accordingly at the EGM next week.

“The rationale and terms of the merger are in the circular and we remain confident that shareholders see the attraction of the proposed deal and continue to work towards a successful conclusion to the deal.”

Desmond said he expected the Competition and Markets Authority would not clear the deal until the middle of 2016 and thinks at that point Ladbrokes would be forced to dispose of a significant number of shops – between 400 and 1,000.
