Is it outwith the question to suggest he could have been verbally abused at some point?
The actual quote from Bankier...

Quote:

"This personal campaign against Lord Livingston is criminally racist. He has been subjected to a torrent of base personal abuse in social media. Some of the messages are criminally abusive.

There's your lie. Right there.

I think if there had been a torrent of racist abuse across social media we might have noticed it and indeed, retrospectively, we could find it easily with a Google search. Just did not happen.

Poor from Bankier.
Private messages on Twitter maybe?
Pretty unlikely, given that Livingston only follows 59 accounts on Twitter. Most of them political or news organisations.

The board hung the support out to dry so that it would deflect from the real feeling of anger regarding both Livingston and the Living Wage campaign. They have ensured that any criticism of Livingston will now carry the after taste of anti-Semitism no matter how righteous the comment. It is a dirty political move by a bunch of self centred cronies who will only ever look out for one another. They are a disgrace to this club.

I trust Bankier can back these outrageous claims? Surely the police should be involved?

Which should have been reported to the police at the relevant time - if they existed - not brought up to defend him in front of shareholders at an AGM. I seriously doubt this 'abuse' took place at all, it's just a stomach churning deflection tactic to protect one of their own. Sickening

Quite appropriate really, given that a notable Tory tactic in the election was the "dead cat".

Idea being that if your side is in difficulty, get someone to say something outrageous to distract the media.

if it was criminally racist you'd expect to see criminal procedings started and culprits named and shamed.

dirty lying scumbags have absolutely no respect for the fans and this slur just shows the contempt they hold us in.

Manager job is difficult. We can’t buy success so we need a manager who develops players. Ronny does that. We are on course #TicAGM

PL - Off pitch we made a loss but expected. We have no bank debt, over 40,000 season book holders and signed biggest strip deal #TicAGM

Peter Lawwell: this season we've stumbled in Europe but we must improve. But we have the chance of a treble #TicAGM

PL - Were it not for that decision we would have won treble. Disappointed in Europe this term. No-one more than Ronny & players #TicAGM

we cant buy success  thats exactly what we do
Total delusion from Lawwell. We do buy success (at least domestically). Deila doesn't develop players, in fact he's sent all our best youngsters apart from Tierney out on loan. And saying we would have won the treble but for one refereeing decision is the sort of arrogance we'd have absolutely slaughtered David Murray for saying back in the day, especially as the decision in question didn't even occur in the final.
there's plenty to get tore into Lawwell and the Board for, but that ain't it. There are probably hundreds , if not thousands, of posts on here saying that one decision cost us the Treble.
I know, I've probably said it myself. But there's a difference between the fans saying it and the chief executive of the club. Considering we've lost to lower league teams at least six times in cup competitions in the past 20 years, to just assume we'd have won the cup if a referee had awarded us a penalty in the first half of the semi final is the sort of arrogance I'd associate with those in charge of the huns.

I am totally scunnered. They just don't give a feck about the fans. All we can expect is more of the same.

Last season ticket I buy until there's a complete change of attitude (and hopefully personnel) at the top.

I also think any sort of racist abuse, never mind a TORRENT of abuse would have been picked up by the press before today.
This was from the last Aberdeen game on Halloween.

Not racist, but some fans' feelings may match this.
We're definitely only a "welcome to all" club if people deem your politics to be "correct".

For what it's worth, I don't care what the boards' backgrounds are if they are guiding the club properly.
At this moment, we are standing still, and the next few years will dictate how effective the current lot are. The signs aren't good.

This AGM nonsense is same old, same old. Whatever happens won't affect me. There have been worse times to be a fan.

Really pleased the fans stood up to the board on this. Does it go to a vote now?

The attempts by Bankier to make it a race issue are disgraceful and cowardly. It has nothing to do with his colour or creed, it's his morals the supporters have a problem with.

If Brother Walfrid were alive, I know who's side he'd be on. Get this man out the club now.
