"some of the abuse to Ian Livingston was racist"

Racist how? Are the Lords a race?
here we go with the deflection

not seen any abuse of livingston which makes mention of him being jewish

all about him being a tory git
That's the first time I knew he was Jewish. Right there, reading that post.
Oh come on. Everyone knows that when Sir Henry Morton Stanley first met the Tory peer his first words were 'Lord Livingston; Jewish I presume.'

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Wanyama was a rookie bargain when we bought him.
But where is his rookie bargain replacement? We don't have a defensive Mid on our books.

Look at Lennon, Vic was his replacement and we had to wait years until he became Manager to do that!

Cole, if successful is our JVOH replacement ffs!
Bitton was his rookie bargain replacement.

Bitton is not a defensive mid in my eyes nor yet for Deila. Ronny admitted himself a few weeks back they are hoping he can become one, they are looking to change & develop that part of his game (Nir has been here for years now remember)

When you receive 10m plus for a guy who has brought a high level of success I think you gotta understand how important he has been for you and maybe look to replace him like for like (Edit: just to emphasise I mean bringing in another ready made defensive midfielder to replace the one leaving, looking to maintain the balance of a winning side, not match the 10m fee  ), the Board's ambition reflected in their cheapness.

Not for me regards developing in to an adequate defmid, that won't happen unless he brings in someone beside for him to learn from or gives him the role himself and abolishes the two deep, for Brown is another square peg in a circle. talented`players but offer zero protection when the going gets tough.

So, everybody's fallen for the Lord Livingston shaped squirrel this year?

Job done Pedro. I tip my hat to you
And our tim nice but dim chairman for his role in pointing out the squirrel

What a pathetic excuse for a board we have - avoid all the real issues of the day - RD being a puppet failing at his job, pl remuneration, our environment, sevco, etc etc

Yep, nobody getting past our Nir, he's like a wall.

Note how our young CB's have time for a cigarette during posession, safe in the knowledge Nir and Brown won't dare scamper up the park and leave them completely exposed.

It is a similar situation prior to Sion when we needed someone to come in and help the CB's, Lennon was brave enough to dump Kayal and we became a different team.

Did not realize that Livingston was jewish, not that it makes any difference as the criticism levelled at him has been about his actions not his religion.

I assume that the boards use of the "Celtic Family" is put on hold this year.

we're not spending £10m on someone even to replace a £10m transfer.
the wages would prohibit it never mind PL's heart attack at signing the cheque.

You know what - a while ago I listened to an interview with Michael Kelly who said the current regime had ripped the heart and soul from the club. I dismissed it as the bitter ramblings of an ego maniac. And while he is probably bitter AND an ego maniac - he is right on that point. What a shameful situation.

"This personal campaign against Lord Livingston is criminally racist" - if that is the case then those responsible should be arrested

If it is not Ian Bankier should resign

Even then the way he has conflated two separate issues (and this presupposes he can support his statements) beggars belief to denigrate our supports view of the Tory Peers view on tax credits (and then to have the gall to invoke Brother Walfrid to support his assertions yet ignore the justifiable concerns on the ethos of the club in respect of poverty)

No one has said if he has been abused because of his 'Jewishness' that it should be ignored. What we are saying is the calls for him to not be voted back onto the board are not because of his 'Jewishness'. Seeing as almost every person who has posted about this didn't have a scooby he was Jewish, I certainly didn't know he was as well.

If one or 2 people have abused him then deal with those incidents, don't claim that the whole support who are wanting him not to be voted back onto the board are racist.
Bankier isn't very good at speaking but he wouldn't claim all criticism of Livingstone has a racist motive,he's not silly.Any criticism that bring his Jewishness into it is unacceptable.Denying that it isn't plausible that they are halfwits and/or bigots on the internet and elsewhere isn't convincing either.
if its happened he's every right to condemn it.
wish they'd take the same action after we play sevco next, if they make it that long.

No but at least with Jozo they have spent fairly heavily replacing Virgil like for like, what should have happened when Wanyama and Hooper toodleood, they even had Gordon come in on a free and an opportunity to boost other areas`of the park when Forster departed, it's inexcusable.

Is it outwith the question to suggest he could have been verbally abused at some point?
The actual quote from Bankier...

Quote:

"This personal campaign against Lord Livingston is criminally racist. He has been subjected to a torrent of base personal abuse in social media. Some of the messages are criminally abusive.

There's your lie. Right there.

I think if there had been a torrent of racist abuse across social media we might have noticed it and indeed, retrospectively, we could find it easily with a Google search. Just did not happen.

Poor from Bankier.

I’m actually astounded the board have hung the supporters out like this. They must know the reaction this is going to get in the press. Mud sticks, whether it's true or not.

Disgraceful stuff from the board.
