Never thought I'd say this but we are currently being mismanaged worse than under the Kellys and Whites in the 80s and 90s.

Still haven't had a decent answer as to why we have a surplus of around £50 million from transfers and CL money in the last two seasons and we're still planning like paupers.

You'd almost think the powers that be don't want us in the CL.

If true how can he possibly demand r0the respect of some of the superstars in the dressing room?
LOLZ.
Do you disagree with the sentiment or just are you just being a pedant?

For what it is worth I would be surprised if it is true.

We are not, not even close. But despite the hyperbole, the question of the direction we are taking is valid.

Nowhere near the Old Custodians debacle.

However, personally speaking, it's been a helluva long time since I've been so disillusioned with Celtic and so disconnected to the Club.

Something's missing - and I don't mean regarding CE, Board, Manager, Coach, players, etc.

IMO, there's a void between the fans and the Club and that broken relationship is extremely damaging.

Nah mate, we're not. They nearly killed the club.

The current board is killing the playing side at the moment.

I don't know what age you are, but, even our present side is better than the dross of the Brady and Macari years.

Edit: I understand your frustration though

I was a teen then and I don't think there is much difference in the sides tbh. Feck me even the old board threw a few quid at the likes of Slater and Cascarino.

Tonight was the most embarrassing result since Neuchetel Xamax beat us 5-1.

As i said with the edited bit of my post mate, i understand the frustration. You must be of a similar vintage to myself.

They may well have spent a few bob, sporadically, but only to appease the likes of me standing in the West End Terrace and hearing over the tannoy that 26,000 were in the ground, when you could've added another 12,000 to that.

Edit: Mind wages were buttons relative to transfer fees in those days. Spend £1.1 million on Cascarino, then he would be taking £4k like he did then, a million pound player these days is the £10k plus mark. Haha, you've just reminded me of Lee Martin, thought he'd be a superstar as a FA Cup Final scorer

This is not comparable to the Kellys and the Whites. The forum is in meltdown because we might not qualify for the Champions League. We are not 24 hours away from the bank pulling the plug.

There are legitimate questions to be asked about our transfer and investment policies. And there are legitimate concerns about the quality of the football, especially given the price of a season ticket. We have been playing Russian roulette with these qualifiers for years by not investing until we are sure of qualification. We will get a bullet every so often. This is clearly a concern, doubly so given that one poor season of transfer activity (Boerrigter, Pukki, Balde) sets us up to fail next time round.

That said, we didn't qualify for the Champions League when our squad contained Larsson, Sutton, Petrov and Lambert. Some perspective is required here.

I'm possibly exaggerating mate due to a long night of drinking.

I still can't fathom wtf the current lot are thinking though. Asset stripping as a means of preparing for games that could net the club £25 million when we have CL revenue for two years.

We're not been mismanaged worse than the early 90s, that's impossible unless we are liquidated one day.

In many ways the situation is more reprehensible because we do have a fully qualified and competent board on the financial aspect, but the footballing department has been downsized beyond any level of acceptability. We will win 4IAR this season, this should not be a season of despair.

But to have only signed a freebie 3rd choice injury-prone goalie and a Cardiff reject as of 31st July? Pathetic. Perhaps if we're lucky, we'll buy Stevie May and James McFadden on a deadline day double-scoop as Forster and Van Dijk check in for medicals at St Mary's.

Commence the ultra apathy.

It's just frustration, we all understand it buddy.

The financial obsession, with being in the black is weighing us down. We are so completely risk averse, that the board could be putting future ST sales in jeopardy.

But, then there are stupid effers like me, who will still buy their season ticket, for the fear of missing out. It's actually the likes of me that are encouraging this lot.

True enough about us, it's far too late, but it's not the likes of us the Board needs to be worried about. We can only spend so much, and new supporters will not exactly be flocking to see this kind of performance. The long-term business model can't depend on the die-hards.

Too many saying four in a row is a certainty for my liking, especially given the incompetence of the Board, and tonight Ronny Deila and the players.

Add to the ingredients of potential disaster the almost certain sale of Fraser Forster and Virgil Van Dyke (maybe others), their replacements being Craig Gordon and some injury-prone, hairy-arsed non-entity from a Scandinavian backwater.

A decent and well organised SPFL team, most likely Aberdeen, could give us a run for our money.

IIRC, we needed Robbie Keane to help rescue 2nd place a few years ago?
