I have had a season ticket for more than 30 years so putting money into the club continuously, how many people commenting on this thread actually supports the club financially ?
Gave my season ticket up mate because I was tired of the nonsense that PL spouts - yesterday's statement being a classic example. His salary, not paying the living wage, failures to strengthen at crucial times

And no I won't be renewing if Sevco get promoted next year.

I pick and chose the games I go to - although if there is a big demand for tickets for a game - cup final, last years LC semi, I don't go as those who do go week in week out should get first shout.

I suspect given the empty spaces you see at CP I'm not the only one.
I'm the same. Lawwell and the board were probably the main reasons for me giving it up and deciding to pick and choose.

Comparisons with Dave King would make Lawwell's day.

He's got a thankless task trying to keep the club solvent in the current market - one that has changed dramatically during his 12 years as chief executive.

In 2003, we had a turnover that put us ahead of the likes of Everton and Aston Villa but, today, we find ourselves behind Bournemouth Athletic and Swansea City - two wee clubs who were struggling in the lower divisions of English football when Lawwell took over.

He's on extremely good money for a company of Celtic's size, but when you consider that Anthony Stokes is pulling in similar post-bonus figures, it's hardly the end of the world.
A thankless task? On £1m pa???!!!

PL doesn't agree with you. He is "dedicated to creating a world class football club here.”

We call all see how well he is doing at that. Still your post clearly shows he can fool some of the people all of the time.

He is, by that statement alone, a glib and shameless liar.

Risk and reward walk the same path.

No risk equals no reward, then you realise that taking no risk is the riskiest strategy there is.

The CEO needs to show leadership now, do something that reinvigorates our club.

We are in a malaise, disappointment in Europe, disappointment with the transfer window, disappointment with the performances, disappointment with the squad and now disappointment with domestic results.

I'm going to put this post in a couple of threads because it is pertinent to what is wrong at the club and how the fans react to things

The club need to clarify the roles undertaken by its management staff. Is Deila a manager abd as such chooses which players we sign? Or is he a coach who has to work with what he is given? This is an important point that the fans need to know and imo the club are quite happy with the misinformation that gets circulated. If Deila chose the players then he really would be on a shoogly peg. If he is just coaching then whomever signed the players would need to go.

I miss the thunder.
Halcyon days. Losing the league but having faith in the manager and a positive feeling about the direction we were headed. Lawwell sure effed us all over with that one.

Why does it matter?

I've had a season ticket since 87/88, doesn't make my opinion more or less valid than another who only goes to the odd game, buys the odd strip due to their financial situation, they are still contributing. Celtic couldn't survive on 40,000 punters alone buying a season ticket.

The problem is our wage budget, we are spending so much on a plethora of dross.

Look where it ended. Lennon's distrust of the board, the board's refusal to allow Lennon to take a team to the next level.

Few managers can create thunder at the club in its present situation.

You have to ask where we are under Pistol Pete's stewardship.

Great walk up to the park and nothing on it.

No other business, would tolerate it from their CEO from a business performance perspective.
