He's right about one thing. It isn't becoming any easier to qualify for the group stages. That's probably because the team is weakened every summer & we keep going for cheap option managers & players. The last decent side to prevent us from reaching the group stages was Arsenal.
How can he say we are a Champions League team? We're certainly not & this current side would be an embarrassment in the group stages.

No-one had heard of Gary Hooper?
Danny Ings, Charlie Austin and Tubby Tomlin would all have been sold for a mark up, if you watch sky or read papers they always stood out

“We are dedicated to creating a world class football club here.”

And I am dedicated to achieving a threesome with Kelly Brook and Scarlet Johansson.

We'll do well not to get embarrassed in the Europa League group stages...

They are failing in that.

Why don't you guys just give it a effing rest.

WE SEE YOU! OK?

If your not happy, why don't you just go and eff off somewhere else?

'Celtic Supporters'? My effing arse!

Peter, it is "you're" not "your" in this context.

(You would expect a CE on a cool £1m a year to get his grammar correct at the very least, even if he can't run a menage).

I have had a season ticket for more than 30 years so putting money into the club continuously, how many people commenting on this thread actually supports the club financially ?

So we need CL football or we need to sell someone circa £10m to break even each year? That's not really sustainable is it?

How do you measure your progress ? Maybe you could give our over rewarded leader a hint or two.

I can't afford a season ticket because I'm poor. I'll go back to my hole, sorry sir.

As PL would doubtless say: "So far, so good".

(ie nae chance at aw', but a chap can dream). :(

But PL is pocketing @£1m pa for conning gullible folk into believing a dream equivalent to me bedding Kelly and Scarlett simultaneously.

The Lying King really has some serious competition now from SPLOB in the glib and shameless stakes.

I'm Spartacus, the ST Holder for at least as long as you, but there are fewer of us every year and that is the fault of PL & Co.

Gave my season ticket up mate because I was tired of the nonsense that PL spouts - yesterday's statement being a classic example. His salary, not paying the living wage, failures to strengthen at crucial times

And no I won't be renewing if Sevco get promoted next year.

I pick and chose the games I go to - although if there is a big demand for tickets for a game - cup final, last years LC semi, I don't go as those who do go week in week out should get first shout.

I suspect given the empty spaces you see at CP I'm not the only one.

Comparisons with Dave King would make Lawwell's day.

He's got a thankless task trying to keep the club solvent in the current market - one that has changed dramatically during his 12 years as chief executive.

In 2003, we had a turnover that put us ahead of the likes of Everton and Aston Villa but, today, we find ourselves behind Bournemouth Athletic and Swansea City - two wee clubs who were struggling in the lower divisions of English football when Lawwell took over.

He's on extremely good money for a company of Celtic's size, but when you consider that Anthony Stokes is pulling in similar post-bonus figures, it's hardly the end of the world.

End of the world? Neither should be on these salaries. We're leaking cash left and centre, yet watching us there against the sheep we have defence that would struggle agains the drunks from the local pub team.
