Apparently the only way to guarantee a seat for our European games is to buy a season ticket.

It's one thing not signing a striker. It's another to put out patronising statements on our official website, rubbing salt into already gaping wounds.
I bet they make no mention. Will say they are delighted with the players we brought in and we should be happy with what we're got. I don't know why I get my hopes up twice every year, feckin torture! !

If those quotes from Ronny are genuine and in context, it's not hard to conclude he's either a deluded fantasist in the Paul le Guen mould and really does believe his own hype, or he's just another sh itebag who won't stand up to Lawwell. Either option is unfit for purpose.
Ronny will be reading it for the first time on the website.
I doubt that. I actually don't know what else he could've said. He can't call it 'disappointing' or say 'our attack is shampooe.'

All he can do is pretend that he's going to see a single penny of that van Dijk fee.

Too bad that the board, Ronny and the players all shat it in Malmö. :(

Seems that Celtic make these decisions easy for me these days. Been living abroad using Celtic TV. Utterly gash service, on the ropes and then the 'hacker' fiasco tipped it. Moving back to the UK this week, I was actually excited about getting up as often as I could to see some games again. Won't be bothering my arse until there's change. Not that he'll actually give a feck about my loose change. We have enough 'over and over' supporters to keep things ticking over.

I can't stand the idea that my limited funds would be going towards that smug, interfering, lying bastards wages. :boik: This board is motivated by one thing, and one thing only. Take that away from them and they'll be forced to make changes.

I'm scunnered. We are weaker in certain key positions now than before the window.

It's not just even the lack of signing a striker. It's being totally underwhelmed and now facing the prospect of turning up every week knowing what we're getting and not really getting excited by anything especially new or different.

Patience with the club is really starting to wear thin. It's insulting now.

Celtic are currently advertising 2 free tickets for the Dundee game to every STH. The way they are going they will have to do that with the majority of games this season.

Disgraceful for them to get us into this position. What makes me all the more angrier is the feeling that they do not care. If they think this is acceptable they must be sitting at the games with their eyes shut.
There's been a holding party for several years. Operation let's wait on Sevco. It's been glaringly obvious. The limit of our ambition is to compete with that mob, and sadly it might bring people back. Not for football reasons, but a shilling is a shilling for Mr Lawwell.

We've wasted 3 years, now a 4th likely because our club is run by minnows.
We've not wasted 3 years. Wasted implies it's been status quo for the last 3 years.

We've regressed 3 years.

The big sales of including Forster, Wanyama and others - now VVD. The result of those big sales have had us NO progress. They've been used to plug holes in the balance sheets. On the pitch, those sales have meant f*ck all.

We've moved back considerably.

I just feel that if Lawwell is our Director of Football as well as CEO then that should be made clear. It doesn't seem a healthy thing for a club to have both jobs done by the same guy - his priority will always be balance sheet first.

Ffs there will be seats ahoy.

Dont think anyone should worry about finding a spare seat after this window and CL exit.

The sad thing is these ***** are not clueless

They know exactly what they are doing year on year.

We are the ones who are fecking clueless as every year we build ourselves up with a blind hope that it must surely get better this season.

And all we ever get left with is the feeling we've all been experiencing as the time drained away and nothing happened.

Charlatans.

People criticising Lawwell for the club's transfer strategy should remember that the board determines policy, not him (although he will advise of market conditions, etc.)... he is an employee, albeit one who is very well rewarded.
Could people please, please, please stop repeating this complete and utter pish that all Lawwell is doing for his £1m a year is following instruction. FFS the tea lady could do that. Where do you get this nonsense? Peter Lawwell is the CEO of the business and driver of this 'strategy'. That is what he is employed to do - run the business. Do you think Tesco shareholders sit at every board meeting and tell the CEO how they want their business run? In the not too distant past Dermot Desmond funded Martin O'Neill in buying Sutton, Thompson, Valgaeran, Lennon, Hartson, Balde etc. We were OK with massive wage deals for Craig Bellamy and Juninho who, at the time, were among the highest earners in Britain. The end of O'Neill saw the end of this policy. Smart guy Lawwell thought he had a different, more profitable way and installed himself as overseer. I honestly can't listen to any more of this nonsense - that joker is at the heart of this period of cost cutting. GTF Lawwell.

And he's built the system that rewards himself for it. Feckin genius if you take an impartial stance.

It's a bit naughty just excluding players like Lustig when they're still here, no?

Gordon

Lustig Ambrose Simunovic Izaguirre

Brown Bitton

Forrest Johansen Armstrong

Griffiths

There's not a massive difference between the two sides when compared like that. We're missing a decent striker badly though.

I thought that was the point

Given the general consensus about Mulgrew and Commons' recent contribution you could argue we're stronger in a couple of positions at least. Clearly the striker is the issue.

Not much between the 2 at all. Bald men and combs stuff.

It's also worth noting we were really shampoo in that game against Juve.
