If those quotes from Ronny are genuine and in context, it's not hard to conclude he's either a deluded fantasist in the Paul le Guen mould and really does believe his own hype, or he's just another sh itebag who won't stand up to Lawwell. Either option is unfit for purpose.

It's one thing not signing a striker. It's another to put out patronising statements on our official website, rubbing salt into already gaping wounds.

I understand that the EPL will always be a lure - probably one too strong to resist - but it's sad to think that we could have had a team with Forest, VVD, Wanyama and Hooper as its spine. Throw in Bitton, Brown, Lustig - maybe even Ledley - and you've got a team that could at least compete in the CL group stages.

A combination of short term thinking and penny pinching means we've missed the chance to build a strong team.

Kinda confirms the contempt Lawwell has for the paying customer, not that we needed it. We're complete marks to him.

If only we'd had signs before.

While he's there, Celtic is at best treading water.

Got Lawwells PR spin all over them those quotes.

RD was signed to be grateful for what he is given - if he wants to moan about it he'll be out the door like Lennon.

This pish is the Desmond/Lawwell model, it aint going away until we make it.

There you go.

We're going into the pishy EL with Griffiths as our main striker. Just after getting papped out the CL.

If Griffiths gets injured, we're going into the EL matches with Ciftci as striker, with no f*cking other options. No worries though, we got Ciftci who will be able to play 90 mins easy. Not like he's slow as f*ck already.

We get a sh*tty deal for VVD (you'll soon see), bank a fair whack of money, spend some on Simunovic and use the rest to plug the hole left by not qualifying for the CL. Again.

We have PL writing our f*cking news releases under RD to make everything look rosy as f*ck.

And this is just a continuation of events which has happened over the last few years. It's not downsizing, it's scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Goodluck Ronny. You'll probably be gone by next year, cause this squad aren't winning sh*t in the EL. Yet instead of fans piling into the board/PL, they'll pile into you.

People criticising Lawwell for the club's transfer strategy should remember that the board determines policy, not him (although he will advise of market conditions, etc.)... he is an employee, albeit one who is very well rewarded.

Lawwell is fire-fighting. He knows there is, er discontent

Hence the Ronny quotes and the happy clapper spin from Poodle Paul of CQN

That's not including the money made by being in europe. Only transfer fees. Time is up for Mr Lawwell IMO. Stark lack of ambition from the club hierarchy.

Celtic are currently advertising 2 free tickets for the Dundee game to every STH. The way they are going they will have to do that with the majority of games this season.

Disgraceful for them to get us into this position. What makes me all the more angrier is the feeling that they do not care. If they think this is acceptable they must be sitting at the games with their eyes shut.

They all dance to the tune of the absentee landlord.

Jokers the lot of them. I remember the Kelly & White years and how it came to an end. These Carrots seem as determined to rub us up the same way

He's a puppet. Same as Lennon was with regards to transfers. We won't get in anyone who'd rock the boat.

There's been a holding pattern for several years. Operation let's wait on Sevco. It's been glaringly obvious. The limit of our ambition is to compete with that mob, and sadly it might bring people back. Not for football reasons, but a shilling is a shilling for Mr Lawwell.

We've wasted 3 years, now a 4th likely because our club is run by minnows.
