Spotlight on the high and mighty in the coming weeks. Will they pony up the cash to improve the squad, back the manager, allow him to choose who he wants, ditch the gash and keep the decent players?

Or will we get the same old chestnuts covering transfer dealings failure?

I think we'll be getting the usual blurb from the grossly overpaid CEO, and a further advance on " a club like no other "

Decent enough in terms of transfers.

Personally the living wage thing continues to annoy me the most.

Never noticed PL's waistline.

I didn't go to a single game this season and went to only one game the season before. I'd normally get to about 10/15 games a season, work permitting but due to the downsizing at the club I gave up.

For the first time in quite some time I'm considering a season book for next season due to Ronnie and what he wants for the club but will be holding out to see what happens on the signing front this summer.

Is anyone in the same boat?

No, not least of all because I tried that last year and ended up missing the deadline and losing my seat beside my brother, but most of the concerns raised earlier in this thread from last year remain unaddressed.

Our Board/Lawwell-Desmond are still allowing SMSM to treat us like shampoo; they are still failing to back Celtic supporters against the Offensive Behaviour bill; there is still a whiff of 'welcome back huns' about them. And they may yet prove to be unwilling to fully pursue Resolution 12, and there's a transfer window about to open which may yet see them misread the Ronny feel good factor by selling our best but replacing with Park projects.

I'm really hoping, that after last summer's shambles, the board back the manager early on.
If they wait until the last minutes of deadline day again, and spend a minimal amount out because of fan pressure, they can forget about me going to the European games. Last summer was effing atrocious, a lesson in shampooty summer preparation.
Ronnie ended up doing well after a terrible start. He deserves strong backing from the board by way of transfers before the CL qualifiers.

wow. Now that we're nearly good again, I'll be going back, but only if we buy some top quality players.

I guess this is representative of the missing thousands. Only thing he doesn't say is that he misses Sevco.

Yeah...

It's like last year when I stopped going to my 80yo mam's for tea because she kept dishing up the old staples...mince with everything, spam, potted meat etc.

I hear she's been given a new cook book but I'm waiting to see if she'll be using organic veg in her offerings before I'll allow her to see me again.

I gave up my season ticket because I thought the board extracted the urine.

The near miss with Karagandy and the failure to learn the lessons scunnered me. As did PL's bonus and the failure to pay the living wage. We then had the claim about how much not having Sevco in the same division was costing us despite PL's various statements to the contrary over the previous few years.

Yes I am pleased that Ronnie has overcome a shaky start and is winning the place over - he has my utmost respect as to how he conducts himself and what he wants from the club. The board do deserve credit for appointing him.

But here's the nub - For the umpteenth time in the past decade or so we are two or three players short of what could be a very good team (left back and centre forward are the stand out areas for improvement). Will we address them or will we standstill as so often happens ? (and no this is not a call for reckless spending)
