Perhaps not a popular viewpoint, but I think the board and Lawwell are generally doing a very satisfactory job.
They have a lot of dissatisfied customers
Comes with the territory.

So did Fergus. Pretty sure most of us gave him a decent hand just a few weeks back. It goes with the territory.

No doubt that the Board dropped the ball. In the current climate the Champions League meant most to all of us, and their steering of the ship was so disastrous, and so avoidable, that rebuilding anything like trust or even a truce with the wider support is probably unlikely.

However they also get it in the neck for the wider dissatisfaction people feel towards Scottish football. People can spout this 'Armageddon' pish like a badge of honour whenever they perceive something decent happens in our game, but the fact is we have 'won' Scottish football, for the want of a better term, at least for the time being.

Our fans are totally bored of the lack of competition and basically the Board gets it in the neck for running the club so much better than every one of its competitors that it has rendered sporting competition temporarily meaningless.

It's not helped when more and more football is shown from over the border in a league so thoroughly pumped up on financial steroids. And also backed solidly by pretty much every arm of the media to the extent that it is now basically a core entertainment industry, a southern soap opera to rival Eastenders that is as pervasive in Scottish homes as it is in London and Manchester.

We turn over barely £65m per annum. Sky/BT pay English bottom feeders like Hull a minimum broadcast payment of £60m alone, purely to show them live no more than 10 times every 365 days. Insanity. This reality has not stopped the irrational ire of many of our supporters dissatisfied with our Board when we are forced to sell playing assets to clubs like Southampton, despite the crushing inevitability. It is just the real world and many have still not adjusted to it.

It's not about the turnover, it's about how we use the money we have. We're being turned over by clubs with a (much in many cases) smaller budget than ours. In the league, we can absorb the odd defeat. In Europe, we're failing to compete.

I am happy with the signings that were eventually made but the board left it way too late and cost us a place in the Champions League. They have embarrassed the club and alienated themselves from the support.

We were in a position to spend before selling but we chose to gamble and failed..........twice.
Agree with this. Decent players but mainly loans and was conducted way after they should've been.

We also lost our star player and replaced him with a freebie.

The whole Scepovic saga is pathetic for a team with CL ambitions (i'll crack the jokes).

Embarrassing tbh.
Has there been a resolution from the Celtic Trust the board accepted first time around? I'd imagine, like the dividend reinvestment etc, they will cave eventually.
