Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
God knows how much he's been helping behind the scenes to make their journey as easy as possible. The failure to push the title investigation etc. If he could he'd probably loan them the missing millions.
Well he helped keep them alive longer than they would have been by gifting them 3 successive titles when they were on their deathbeds.
all joking asides but when strachan lost the league we had three games to go and i said to my mates, 'its almost as if we are doing this on purpose'.

there are more factors for the state of the game than those bastards financial state.

Lawell on SSN looks like a rabbit in the headlights - unusually for him - he is usually very assured in interviews. Maybe he knows the game is up?
i thought didnt look too good in his celtic tv interview last week either.

I'm not in the camp that hates the guy and reckon he thinks he's doing the right doing, but he must know the supports patience is already stretched and he's gonna be copping a lot of flak as lets face it the buck stops with him.

Seems the club have simply chucked it and we just go through the motions to balance the books......players are seeing the malaise from top and so it manifests itself on the park.

It just seems as though there is no one at the club who is doing what they are in post for at the minute.

There seems to be little in the way of long term strategy from the board.
Park and the scouting department have failed to bring in any form of decent player since VVD
Lawell has repeatedly failed to strengthen the side and bring in players to back the manager.
The first team manager has shown he is completely out of his depth and incapable of selecting a side, tactics and formation which is coherent and providing a winning team on the park.
The youth coaches are failing to consistently produce footballers capable of cementing a place in the first team (according to some on here they have few players even showing they have the potential to do so - so the academy is also effed)
The players have shown little enthusiasm for the change of manager, have scored 1 goal (a deflected effort against Dundee) in over 5 hours of football.
The Public relations within the club are at an all-time low with conflict between club and fans groups

In short we are a effing shambles in every sense of the word - can anyone give me any sort of hope that there is a chance of a turnaround in any of these areas of the club.

We lost £10m turnover as a result of Rangers demise.

On the face of it we replaced it with £30-40m turn-over of something else (some of this transfer fees on both years).

The second statement doesn't make the first untrue, and £10m of turnover isn't easy to come by.
It's a lot easier to come by if you have no domestic competition to prevent you qualifying for the CL every year.
You haven't thought that through.

Base price of a season ticket up or down?

Number of season ticket holders up or down?

Number of match day tickets purchased up or down?

Number of corporate boxes open up or down?

All this with free entry to the CL

Now before you jump down my throat and tell me that it isn't all down to Rangers - I know its not. Nor am I saying that Turnover is down- I also know it isn't. But the fact that it isn't does not mean that 10m turnover is easy to come by in a league with no competition - irrespective of the fact that you might or mightn't qualify for the CL, because we were doing that even with the Zombies in the league.

TO is up by flogging our better players for a profit and selling 4 new replica shirts a season.

Why go on about a 'lost 10m' when last year's turnover saw an increase of 24m from Rangers last season in the league? Rangers decline has cost us in one pocket but has also allowed us to stuff significantly more cash in the other. This lost 10m is a lot of nonsense. Income is up, profits are up, bank debt is gone and we are sitting on cash. Quite why people are buying this lost 10m pish is beyond me.

How about spending to back the manager, bring the fans back, win the league then have a pretty good attempt at Champions League qualification. You gotta give, to get sometimes. We'll never know if Ronny is any good but you'll have more chance to find out if ye back him instead of leaving him with Stokes up front.

Might as well close the lower tier also and stick the "faithful" in the south stand.

Exactly. They're chasing people away as it is and stadium is half empty most games. That's only going to get worse unless they start giving us something to enjoy watching.

It doesn't make sense, an extra 20K supporters 4 times a season comes nowhere near.

Loss of advertising, weakened Tv deal probably factors into his equation as well.
It's still garbage though, as Murphio has effortlessly demonstrated a few posts ago.

For a club with a supposed standalone policy I thought it was reckless thing for the normally assured Lawwell to come away with.

He's getting desperate. If nothing happens today on the singing front, he has to walk. In my opinion he should have been pushed out the door by now anyway.
