Or the many fitness experts who have oversaw a deteriotian in the fitness of the first team squad since Strachan's time in charge.
This is an interesting point - and I just want to make a wee observation for anyone who isn't aware.

Do you remember the big baldy guy who was the fitness coach under O'Neil? He was that the club for many years, and followed O'Neil to Villa and Sunderland - Scottish guy, he was very highly rated. he came from (i think) a wrestling background? I don't remember his name, but i remember when he was at Villa, O'Neil gave him carte blanche to go off around the world attending seminars etc, in order to make Villa's fitness regime the best.

I am sure he left us ewarly in Strachan's tenure.

He is now, bizarrely, fitness coach for the huns.
All that and you don't even know his name?
Roddy McDonald? - not 100% if it's him you are referring to but he used to sit in the row behind me in the South Stand way back in the early days when we returned to Parkhead.

Big Celtic man and a sound bloke as well. Didn't know he had gone to the huns but he's worked at a fair few clubs including Newcastle and Villa.

Ian Bankier

Add in Peter Lawwell, and you have a board of Tory
Red tory, blue tory, there is little difference these days.
Sorry but that's just not true

Having dealt with with Brian ons few occasions with the grave society, and reading his work and knowing his record in politics that's just not a fair representation of him

For example

Quote:

As trade minister, Wilson took a great deal of interest in Cuba which he visited on a number of occasions in an effort to improve political and trade links. He has written extensively in defence of Cuba and about his meetings with Fidel Castro

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Wilson_%28Labour_politician%29

I had the misfortune to hear Brian Wilson speak or to be more correct, rant at a Better Together meeting a couple of weeks ago. He both patronised and insulted people whose views differed from his own and he behaved like a wee ned. His views regarding Food Banks and Margaret Thatcher's legacy regarding the sale of council houses would not have been out of place at a Conservative Party conference. They trotted out his CV regarding the directorships he holds and it made me wish he would stop publicising his Celtic connections as I was embarrassed by his views. I'm afraid like the rest of New Labour he has more in common with the Tories than socialists. As a child I used to sing in the streets "vote, vote for Jimmy Maxton" and shudder to think what he would have thought of Wilson calling himself a socialist or a director of Celtic? Wilson's days of sooking up Fidel Castro's arse are long gone. I wonder what Brother Walfrid would have in common with the present board? Very little. I would imagine.

Fair enough.

Didn't think Roddy would have gone to the huns to be fair.

Anyway, back on topic.

Listening to that Lawell interview only amplified my belief that we'd do well to get rid of him. His rhetoric and spin is nothing new and his own smug nature makes him think he is beyond reproach.
The interviewer needed his balls toed as well.

When talking about the Forsters, Wanyamas and Hoopers did it not occur to him to ask Lawell that if every penny is being invested in the team for replacements then why do we not have a 10m keeper, a 12.5m midfielder and 5m striker?

Absolute effing garbage he was spouting about the 40m ONeill spent, blah, blah, Mowbray, 30million Strachan, 30million Lennon or whatever Shyte he was hitting out with failed to take in to consideration season ticket money, Champions League money and the countless untold millions we have made by selling our best players. I could go on all day tearing his argument to shreds....
He really must think the support don't have a clue about anything.

''Reinvest every penny''. Right you effing well are mate.

Isn't he going to be on Clyde this evening? Hopefully they might actually ask him some more pertinent questions if so, even Delahunt would look like Paxman in comparison to this stunted, staged PR crap.
It was so staged it was beyond a joke - "Oh that's a good point" :ffs:

Actually felt sorry for Paul Cuddihy having to ask him that loaded pish. Wonder how many takes some of those lies took.

Phase one is complete? What was it then? Getting knocked out of Europe twice in a month
Yer right and this was planned for and Champions League would be a bonus and not figured into the reckoning. He is going to tough it out as that is what he did before with Strachan & Lennon. This is the cyclical pish he was expecting and it's a case of rip it up and start again until the new grateful manager gets sick of it and we go through the whole process once again.

Now, if he had planned properly say for instance, like buy a feckin striker that we all knew the manager needee then ye never know, he may have been the difference between qualifying and getting bumped out on our arses.

Time and time again Lawell and the board have failed to support the manager, that could have made the difference, Fletcher for Strachan, Diawara for Lennon and bringing in a striker & a left back for Deila.

Peter "For once would you be totally honest and cut out the piss poor pr spin and tell the Support exactly how many of the current abject diddies at the Club are down to you as opposed to Neil Lennon or Ronny Deila?"

"Would lack of ambition from above have anything to do with Johan Mjalby and Neil Lennon rapping it?"

"What will be the kid on cover up for kerching this year - Bonus deferral or share options?"

So fed up with that pish it's not even worth a blow by blow dissection - Even a blind man can finally see what is going on at the Club.
