I actually laughed out loud whenever they started playing the clip of Sutton scoring v Blackburn with Lawwell dubbed over him saying 'we've invested heavily over the past 15 years'. A hearty, hearty laugh. We should all now mentally associate any Celtic goal of importance with Peter Lawwell's 'heavy' 'investment'.

Lawwell

Delighted with five we've brought in. Like to add one more and are working hard on it

That one is presumably Scepovic, so once he's confirmed don't expect anyone else to come in.

Get this useless tosser to eff.
Yep we will go into another season with just one left back - one who is absolutely rank rotten at the moment.

Incidently we will have 3 centre halves

Van Dijk - assuming he's not sold
A nineteen year old kid with little first team experience
And Le Bombscare Supreme

Yes, Peter you're getting it right.

Vidar Riseth's clincher against Aberdeen for the League Cup in 2000 makes the cut :rocker:

Well that was worth using up my data allowance.

At least I now know that I'm a thick carrot, Peter Lawwell told me so.

Also thought he was taking the piss with the stuff about how Ronnie is just a young man and you must remember this is a massive job and we knew that nothing prepares anybody for it. A fecking cop out of the highest order and never mind patronising the fans, he's now into the territory of patronising his own managerial appointments.

Nothing prepares you for it so we thought we'd offer it to a total rookie (Keane) first, then a guy with six years as a manager under his belt after that.

Seems to be making it up as he goes along now and now that results forced him in front of a camera, finding it increasingly difficult to disguise the fact

Did he actually say all money would be reinvested in the club rather than the team?

In fairness, Deila did say about wanting a full size indoor training pitch recently, so the money for that will have to come from somewhere.

If any of Peter's poodles are lurking, tell the carrot that I might not understand a lot of things, but I know that if he'd bought us a few decent players to replace the ones we lost then we wouldn't be in this effing mess. The slimy, condescending carrot! :comp:

Cracking post Sevillano btw.

Yeah that leapt out. Definitely knows the jig is up with the into-the-team spin. Hardly likely to satisfy many though.

Anyone think there will be major signs at games of the fans turning on Lawwell? Or just the usual wee minority?

Think it seems like a vast majority are now against him, but whether anything happens at games or not?

We have an off the pitch set up of an BPL club and we're not getting our moneys worth. The wage bill etc is for the entire business. Not the playing staff or in particular the first team squad. How long has the partnership with the St Ninians been going now? About 5 years. Shouldn't we be seeing an improvement in the talent coming through the youth set up? How much does Jim McGuiness get paid to be part time at the club? Or the many fitness experts who have oversaw a deteriotian in the fitness of the first team squad since Strachan's time in charge. What about the physios etc who can't keep guys like Forrest, Brown and Boerigter fit?/Are they worth the money they get?

Lawwell is an employee. He is doing his employers bidding. Get rid of Lawwell all ye like, they'll just employ somebody else.
