Anyone else think Hibs could potentially end the curse of the other Scottish teams in Europe next season?

They are always a match for us and Lenny’s experience will serve them well...
No. The defence is honking.
Lennon had them a match for Brondby (IRRC) when they were a second tier team. He usually sets up well against better teams. Will be interesting to see.

If he can get one or two bits of quality in they've a chance. But those play-offs in the Europa can be savage for Scottish teams. They've more chance than the hun that's for sure

Can see the Hearts squad next season consist of dignified alumni such as :

Alan McGregor , Lee Wallace , Naismith , Miller , Steven MacLean , Lafferty

Maybe Alan Hutton too but think he might be Sevco bound
Hearts are a great set of lads and I'm sure any ex-hun will fit in just nicely there.

Remember, this is the same club that in 1998 (really not that effing long ago!) thought it was perfectly acceptable to talk to one of their own black team-mates like this...

https://twitter.com/russabercrombie/status/984742115149340672

and like this...

https://twitter.com/hibernian_news/status/985112955418284034

Lovely set of lads. Can't imagine attitudes have changed much around Tynecastle. They've definitely not changed much in their support.
Yes we have. Now shut up you smelly fenian.

Total joke.

We should have been casting the net far and wide and probably outwith the confines of football.

No disrespect to Maxwell but we’ve ended up with more of the same. I’ve just read an article on the beeb which cites Kingsley the Mascot as demonstrable evidence of his credentials as an innovator.

eff.
Sake.

He can get to work on the Compliance Officer's report which was handed to the SFA BEFORE Regan left.

Ach, Maxi's a good egg. Might be a little unambitious on the part of the SPFL but at least he's not a hun.

So, almost six weeks after Ian Maxwell steps down from the SFA Board, to be replaced by Neil Doncaster, he gets the job as SFA Chief Executive. Six weeks after a former football club chairman described him as a shoo in for it on BBC national radio too. :suspect:

The SFA appear to have spread the net as far as they did when they gave the job to Wiggy.

All above board though according to Mike Mulraney.

Appears to have the backing of Lawwell with a view to marginalising McCrae and Petrie. The latter can't be a bad thing, possibly Pete's puppet?

I'd rather just see the best candidate for the job in the post, to be honest. Someone with their own workable vision to improve the game in Scotland, regardless of so called affiliation.

Having trouble believing that might be the current Managing Director of Partick Thistle, although I recognise a fair bit has improved there over the years.

I suppose you never know. His ability to work with the clubs could be key, but at the same time, although not everything is measured in cash terms I can't imagine him bringing in the big contracts from external partners.

Its the home leg that has been the undoing of Scottish teams recently.

IIRC St.Johnstone, Aberdeen & Hibernian have all picked up some good results on the road, in some cases excellent ones.

I reckon Clarke's Kilmarnock will actually do pretty well in the first few rounds. Couple that with Lennon getting a favourable draw and we might have more than Celtic in Europe beyond July.

Oh yeah, hadn't checked it for a couple of weeks. That does seem a bit unlikely now. If Clarke's there next season I would make a 2nd place battle between them and Hibs a stick on. It's a shame they didn't manage to get past Aberdeen in the cup actually.

Huns will be favourites to finish second next season and I won't be surprised if they do.

That's been said for the past 2 seasons.
