Everyone knows they voted themselves into the bottom league to build up cash reserves for the return to the Premiership, and to make loads of new pals.

I can't believe i'm reading this.

If you are so interested in Rangers I suppose you think they should have been allowed to stay in the SPL then? Eh? Eh?

I read this whole article about how the Championship is going to be more exciting, but the part that made me laugh was

Rangers, who were voted into the bottom rung - League Two - in 2012 after financial difficulties,

So I am like totally obsessed. :(

Dear The BBC: I am DISGUSTED and OUTRAGED by your suggestion that League Two is the 'bottom rung' of Scottish football. I will have you know that the Highland Football League isn't even the 'bottom rung,' because it is of course just a little bit higher than the Lowland Football League, as even a cursory review of the two leagues' names would make clear to anyone but an IDIOT. Plus there is no such thing as 'Rangers.' I bid you GOOD DAY, sir.

I wouldn't say next season's Championship will be more exciting, or interesting, or even better.

I do think it'll be funny as eff.

I'm really really looking forward to the First Division next year, primarily because Sevco might not be promoted, but I'll also take great glee every time they drop points against the diddy teams like Hearts and Hibs and Livingston.

No huns and no mini's, I wonder what set of fans fill their shoes next season as the resident scum bags, Aberdeen a surprising favourite ahead of motherwell.

I'm not so sure that the 'Championship' will be that exciting next season.

Hibs and Hearts were relegated on merit: even without Hearts' points deduction, the Edinburgh clubs would've been the bottom two.

Hearts have a team of youngsters and have just let their more experienced players go. Hibs have lost almost their entire team.

It's not going to be Hibs and Hearts as we've known them facing down Sevco. They might be big clubs but they were the worst teams in the SPFL and will only be worse next season.

The only way the first division is going to be exciting is if Sevco go into administration, which I admit is a distinct possibility.

Aberdeen have dropped down in my "ach they're no that bad" scale this season.

I'm the same, i fully expected them to come up through the leagues with no real difficulty but with Raith Rovers beating them in that cup final and a couple of bigger clubs being relegated it could be quite funny.

Might actually watch some non-Celtic Scottish games next season for a change.

Yeah, the Championship might be interesting because there are some big names down there but in reality, who the eff really wants to watch that pish outside of those club’s own fans? With so much live football being shown over the weekend then why would anyone watch first division Scottish football over Bundesliga, La Liga, etc. I just don’t see the attraction at all.

Maybe it’s just me that doesn’t get the big appeal of it all (fair enough if it is) but the idea of watching Ally’s Sevco team play against that Hib’s team or the Hearts Under 21s just doesn’t excite me. I’d rather watch Motherwell vs Aberdeen to be honest

If the huns struggle then I’m sure it will be good for a laugh, but outside of that I genuinely can’t see me watching any of these games in the same way I’ve not watched any of the Div 2/3 games that’ve been on in the last 2 years (barring games on in the background of the pub). The only sevco games I’ve had an interest in were later rounds of the cup, but league games? Nah, I’d rather watch better teams than that.

I get why some might find the Championship interesting but do you guys really want to sit back and watch it?

i will find the championship interesting and will laugh at the results i'm sure but not sure if i'll physically watch any of them, will be shampooe games but some might be worth it for the hilarity factor. see 'ball on hedge' when sevco started their journey a couple of years ago, that was funny as eff.

So Hibs and Hearts are pish? And this is not going to make it exciting when they challenge Sevco for promotion because? Or are you suggesting Sevco are not pish as well?

I can actually see your point. I think we seriously overestimate the challenge that Hearts and Hibs will present to Rangers next season. These will not be the same teams that could - on their day - beat Rangers. I am also disappointed that there will be no Edinburgh teams in the SPFL. That's a first. No harm to the likes of Hamilton (a team or a place I rarely think of it has to be said) - but the Edinburgh teams have a significantly more prominent pedigree than provincial teams like the red hooped team from Hamilton. I do accept however that they are in the SPFL on merit. I just won't get terribly excited when they play Celtic next term. I'm not even going to pretend to be "excited".

Aberdeen fans have been scumbags for as long as Ive been attending away games up there, going back to the 70s.

People these days perpetuate a myth that they are "a great bunch of lads" because they hate the huns, but they hate Celtic just

as much. Their song reportoire these days borders on the Deadcos old reportoire.
