I wanted Hibs to go down.

Hibs play terrible football. Both Fenlon and Butcher have used the most destructive, ugly style imaginable. For Hamilton to go to Easter Road and pass the ball while Hibs' only idea was lumping it into the channels was a disgrace.

When Malmo pumped Hibs, their only answer was to to sign the likes of Michael Nelson because they thought they needed to be more physical. When Fenlon failed, their only answer was to appoint Butcher and become even more brutal.

For too long have teams in Scotland been coached to distrust possession and to win by endeavor alone. This Hibs team shows what happens when you coach all the football out of a team, and adopt a signing-policy that rejects the idea that every team needs creativity. Teams like Hibs deserve to be relegated and the division is better without them.

Hamilton take a progressive approach. They have an artificial surface because they want to be able to pass the ball on the deck. They develop youth try to entertain. So do Partick Thistle and St Mirren. We need these teams to succeed in Scotland to prove that it can be done.

Hibs will be back, and hopefully they'll have learned that sabotaging your team's ability to play football in pursuit of a more rugged style is as counter-productive as it is boring to watch.
This is bang on.

Hibs have had this coming for years.
Michael Stewart got ripped into them for this long ball game last night on Sportscene.

'Dad, can we go home yet?'

I watched the full game yesterday, Hamilton totally played Hibs off the park. It was refreshing to see the quick passing game come out on top over the hoofball tactics of Butcher. With extra time and penatlies I dont think I've ever heard so much booing in one game.

HT: Boooooo
90 mins: First songs from Hibs all day
93 mins: Boooooooooooo

Of course, all the chat in the boozer last night from the Hibees was this may be a good thing for them, as they will have two derbies with Hearts, the Rangers money etc etc.

Never mind the dwindling crowds, less tv money, the real chance that they will end up mid-table with Butcher still in charge and the fact that they are really really pish and seem to have no idea how to remedy it.

Hibs really are a club that need gutting from top to bottom. Maybe once Butcher has built his own team things will change for them but I wouldn't hold my breath. I wouldn't be surprised if they fail to make the playoffs next season.

In the most exciting league in the world (copyright every Sottish hack from now until it starts again), as well as Hearts Hibs and Rangers, there are those exponents of silky soccer Cowdenbeath, Raith Rovers, Alloa and Dumbarton.

It will be pish.

So, which of our up and coming players should we be loaning out to Hibs and Hearts next season. Just for the competitive experience, of course.

Dumbarton play some really good stuff.

The job Murray has done with a part-time team in the last 18 months has been fantastic.

They take it to every team they play and were second top scorers in the league.

While there's plenty of supporters and high up's there who are inclined that way, a good few of the players there would love nothing more than sticking it to the tribute act

Indeed. Should get shot of Butcher as well as the players - the man is a tactical dinosaur.

Aye, but the ink is hardly dry on his contract and it will probably cost a bob or two to get shot of him.
