He could quite easily ask Strachan.
33-rpm doesn't know strachan, does he? ;)

Broonie has said he loves playing for Scotland, with our season over what right would Lennon have in asking for him to be dropped? Euro qualifiers start pretty soon after the Worlld Cup and Strachan will be looking to get his team selections sorted.

i do get that a lot of folks on here don't care for international matches, but many of the players do.
You don't get dropped in friendlies.Brown is a guaranteed starter for Scotland in a competitive game.

I thought you and 33-rpm were asking for him to be dropped from the squad? If Strachan is building his team for the Euro qualifiers he'll want his first choices there to build the team around.

Just regarding the Danny Lennon sacking, I think this is a disgraceful decision. Interesting yo note during the relegation 'dogfight' and even prior to that, there were a number of teams in similar position to St Mirren but no media talk about their managers being under pressure or losing their jobs also compare the media campaign to get rid of Pat Fenlon at Hibs when they were in the top 6 compared to the almost total lack of criticism of Terry Butcher. I might be paranoid but could the intense media criticism be something to do with the fact that Danny and Pat both sound a bit taigy?
Rumour has it Gus McPherson on the way back.

Word from a St Mirren fan in here is Danny Lennon's getting his jotters. Or rather his contract isn't getting renewed. Board meeting this morning.

A possible No.2 at Celtic? The two Lennys, tearing shampoo up ;)
I'd be surprised at that.

I think he's been relatively successful in his time there.
Fair play to Cardross Bhoy - who posted this info last Thursday.

Strange move from St Mirren, unless they have an alternative lined up. They had a few wobbles but I would have thought their performances were about par for their budget, so I’m not quite sure what their expectation level is.

Going to be very interesting next year if – oh my aching sides – Hibs go down, so not only will there (presumably) be a 3-way chase for the 1st division title, but whomever finishes second bottom of the prem will be playing off against the huns/diets/hibs.

The advantage in the playoffs should be with the premiership club, but if Hibs and Hearts rebuild next year, you’d fancy them to a) push the huns very hard and b) probably beat the likes of Killie, Thistle, St Mirren etc in a playoff.
Heard Barry Ferguson as player / manager for St Mirren?
God help St Mirren if true given the mess he made at Blackpool.
and the fact bazza's a complete moron

StMirren appoint Danny Lennon's somewhat less than loyal assistant Tommy Craig as his replacement. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27398509?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Tommy Craig really is a slimey bastard. If you're brought in by a manager you don't take the mans job.

He stayed on too at Celtic too when Davie Hay was sacked. Despite Hay bringing him in.

Who expects morals in football eh?

And succeeded Collins at Chareloi. He's nothing if not consistent.

Strange appointment by Saints. Can't recall Craig ever performing well in the manager's role. Another relegation scrap beckons next season.

Exactly what I thought when I heard he had been appointed. Always remember David hay slagging him off for being an absolute snake.
Can't understand how any manager would want to work with Craig :nono:

So Danny Lennon get the boot because St Mirren think they can do better and they appoint Tommy Craig?

Wow.

This. I suspect they have gone down the 'as cheap as possible' route.... especially seeing as current players Goodwin and Teale (!) will be assisting with coaching.

Relegation beckons i fear.... unless Dundee turn up with some halfwit like John Brown in charge.
