My pal is a St Mirren fan and is not in the least bit surprised he has been punted. He has said on numerous occasions this season the standard of football has been absolutely dreadful.
i think the st mirren fans have wanted rid for years. even after they put us out the cup i remember reading one of their forums and they still wanted him gone

i dont know enough about st mirren , their budget etc or watch them enough to know if its harsh or not though. sometimes it can be easy to look in and judge something without knowing the full story
Was crap football not the reason the wanted Gus McPhereson sacked as well?

got to say well done to Big Yogi for getting Cali into the top six and also to a cup final. Who would have predicted that when Butcher left for Hibs?

Im sure it was on the BBC rumours page that Barry Ferguson was being lined up to replace Danny Lennon.
I seem to recall from generic hun threads of old that the St Mirren chairman is an out and out hun, so that wouldn't be much of a surprise.

ICT were second when he took over. He drew one game against Hearts to get to the final.

That cause they are a bunch of whining stay at home hun pumpkins.
There was an agenda against Lennon from the off
He was no Jose but keeping them in the SPL and winning them a trophy is still not enough for those feckers.

Hope they go down next year tho my cash is on big "Yogi" :lmao: to take ICT down

Motherwell were put out of the Uefa Cup by Levante, Panathiakos and a decent Russian side with a bit of cash, they had Cisse playing iirc?

It's hardly a disgrace to be beaten by those sides is it?

Hell of a lot better than Shaktar Karagandy who almost gave us a burst nose last year.
Interesting. So, with all that in mind, I guess the real question is - which pub team will hammer Motherwell eight nil in the first Europa League qualifier this year?

I eventually realised that Hibs are in a play off rather than actually already relegated, although I am pretty sure they are doomed. I reckon most people expected Butcher to do really well at Hibs and Hughes to fail miserably at ICT so I say well done to him

I'm not sure what Butcher's got to do with anything but alrighty.

Hughes hasn't exactly been a roaring success at Caley. They've got worse since he arrived. Errr well done Yogi.

Too old for hamlet, too young for Lear

Strange move from St Mirren, unless they have an alternative lined up. They had a few wobbles but I would have thought their performances were about par for their budget, so I’m not quite sure what their expectation level is.

Going to be very interesting next year if – oh my aching sides – Hibs go down, so not only will there (presumably) be a 3-way chase for the 1st division title, but whomever finishes second bottom of the prem will be playing off against the huns/diets/hibs.

The advantage in the playoffs should be with the premiership club, but if Hibs and Hearts rebuild next year, you’d fancy them to a) push the huns very hard and b) probably beat the likes of Killie, Thistle, St Mirren etc in a playoff.

Heard Barry Ferguson as player / manager for St Mirren?
God help St Mirren if true given the mess he made at Blackpool.

Who the eff do St Mirren think they are ?

Lennon won them a cup and kept them in the Spl despite having his budget cut year on year.
