Ok - one whose name I've forgotten. A good player too. the German striker we had.

Edit Andy Thom - I remembered
I don't think Thom would be forgotten overall: considering some of the very much forgettable dross and keek we had to put up with watching around that time he was one of the few who had a bit of flair to his game and so stood it.
Andy Thom was a fantastic player for us.

Makesthegoalsscoresthegoals... Andy, Andy Thom!

I know John Dowie has been previously mentioned, but he used to put the fear into me every time he got the ball :twitch:

I'm too lazy to read through the thread but I'm going to assume Scott Marshall has been mentioned already.

There are three Lee Martin footballers listed on Wikipedia. The youngest, born in 1987, had a loan spell at oldco in 2006 and made a total of 7 appearances for them. The Lee Martin of Manchester United fame apparently played for Celtic from 1994-1996 and made a grand total of 19 appearances, scoring no goals. The other Lee Martin played for such illustrious clubs as Blackpool, Rochdale and Huddersfield.
IIRC the huns were wetting themselves with excitement over signing Martin because he did well for Man Yoo in a pre-season friendly against Celtic.

No, really.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
at something other than football?

He started off very well, just went a bit shampooe after January.

The main reason people think he was so shampooe was the Ross County game but that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a player :twitch: Hooked before half time I think.
I think that there were dozens of games that led people to think that he was shampoo. He looked like a child, out of his depth. I agree that he started brightly and I remember noticing that he'd nick in and "steal" possession off of someone else's toe a few times per game for the first few games. After that, I'd pray that he wouldn't be picked.

Overall our scouting has unearthed some absolute stoaters so the price you pay for Wanyama etc. is that you occassionaly sign Adam Virgo and Landry
