Quoting limited to 3 levels deephttp://www.thecorkonian.com/irish/index.php?option=com_event_table_edit&Itemid=13 (the match against Dundee Utd is listed) or here http://www.barneyvallelys.com/sportEvents/index.html (mentioning that they show the SPL).

Never been in any of these pubs, so can't judge them
He could always go to McLaughlin's in Dusseldorf (about an hour away), there's a CSC.
Ah, forgot about that
Was in Cologne in December and tried to find a bar for Dundee United Game. Neither of the pubs mentioned had the game on but it did clash with a Man U game and Bundesliga games. The barman in one of them (can't remember which) did say they sometimes show the games. Apparantly McLaughlin's Dusseldorf is the place to go for the games and is not far on the train. Altbier also makes a nice change from kolsch.

I should check this place more often.

Foresters Arms is home of our csc.

Sorry mate
No worries, I was checking for pals and managed to find your pub through Celtic Bars and Googling. If he made it, I'm sure they'll wish they hadn't bothered!
Righto

Cheers mate, turns out where he is working/living is actually a lot closer to Dusseldorf than Cologne City, so Mclaughlins is ideal.

2 questions for the London Bhoys...

1. Has anyone been in The Brent Tavern, Cricklewood. Is it any good, do they show games ext, ext
2. What's the nearest celtic bar (fan's frequent, and shows games) to Sloane Square / South Kensington

Any info on the above would be thankfully received.

I'm sure your a spritely young thing

Is it a decent enough boozer (even back then)? Does the Cricklewood / Kilburn area still have a strong Irish connection?

Nice one mate, ta for the info.

I was actually going to send you a wee message, were doing the Sub Crawl again in this year (8th year :rocker: :cuckoo: :twitch: ) if you fancy it. I know you were looking forward to it last time so you and your good lady are more than welcome this year

Let me know.

Anyone able to answer my second question from earlier regarding Slone Square / South Kensington? Long shot, I know...

It was OK back then.

I'm told Cricklewood is more south asian/middle eastern people now. I haven't been there in 24 years.

Your a star mate, I was actualy in that Marquis Of Granby before our game v Arsenal a few year back. Good wee boozer. The Toucan off Soho Square is another great wee bar.

Surprised there's nothing closer to Slone / South Kensington, if my business venture doesn't pull through might open a hoops bar in the area :chuffed:

Thanks again though mate

A couple of folk have mentioned that The Bay Horse in Shawlands has changed hands and is going to be a Celtic pub. Anyone heard anything about this?
It would a welcome addition as, although mainly neutral, most of the pubs in Shawlands seem to be slightly pro "them"
