County Carlow for the cup final , suggestions please .
Had a night out with a few boys from the Carlow CSC in Dalton's pub in Tullow once that was a grand spot.I'd imagine most of the pubs will have it on tho mate
My sister lives in Fenagh , is that close by ?
My Carlow geography is not the best man but i think it's about 15 miles.Ye would be much closer to Bagenalstown tho plenty of good pubs there. The Red Lion is fine place and usually shows the Hoops altho i think it's where the local Man Utd supporter's club meets so if there's any EPL match on they tend to hog the best tvs.Might be worth a phone call before ya tip down..

Going to Cork for a staggy in mid-march - any suggestions for
a) a good Celtic bar to watch us v Utd
b) some good boozers for going out at night
c) early opening boozers, or chap the shutters, for some curers?

Sorry pal - there isn't one. Your only bet for any football is one of the big hotels.

Cheers guv'nor - looks like your the man to drop aPM to nearer the time and let you know the hotel etc and you could keep me right.

Notice someone saying that the dogs aren't too far from the city centre, are they worth a night out? We are going to the horses on the Sun, so this would fit in really well.

Downtown Hurghada is a bit of a mess. Looks like its been planned by a blind drunk. There's pubs there but I never noticed any Irish bars - could be wrong though.
Did a bit of digging and in Hurghada there seems to be 1 Irish bar "PJ's Irish Pub" but when I tried their website it bounced so don't know if it's still open.

There is another bar advertised as having live football - Papas bar but there doesn't seem to be a way toi contact them to check it out.

Will just need to wait and see.

Can't wait
PJ's Irish Bar in Sheraton Road in Hurghada behind the Roma Hotel.

It has tricolours etc but is actually owned by a couple of guys who are from the wrong side of the north. Both decent tguys who know which side their bread is buttered. Quite happy to put the game on for me and good laugh all round.

Don't know what it would be like for Rangers game though. :ponder:

Going to be in Neath near Swansea for the huns game.

Anyone know anywhere?

Dont know if this is a great help, but Hartson owns a pub in Swansea. I think its called the Sportsman's Bar :ponder: you would like to think that would show the game?

When you check-in at your hotel ask if they have Ten Sports, Zee Sports, ESPN and STAR Sports on their satellite. The game will definitely be on one of them but your best bet to see it is to just watch it in your room. Most football shown in bars will be the EPL.

The Castle in Summerhill near Croke Park - Irish Brigade playing after the match

The Castle in Summerhill is now the main place. Nowhere in the city centre.

Went to Preston for a job interview today and thought I'd seek solace in the welcoming back room of the Station Hotel which was at one time decorated like my bedroom at my ma's.

WTF happened. the only fitba picture in it now is the 1966 england world cup team.

Will they be showing the St Mirren match a week on Saturday?
I haven't been there myself but I've been reliably informed that they show the saturday home games
