In London for the Aalborg game. Anyone know a decent Celtic pub which will show the game? Staying next to Liverpool Street Station.

Cheers

http://www.kerrydalestreet.com/page/London+Celtic+Supporters

Best bet is the Marquis of Granby (see above link) That's the closest, its a 5min Tube ride on the Central Line to Tottenham court road and a 2min walk from there.

Any probs then PM me.
Hey Joe,

Terrible result but great pub and great atmosphere!

Cheers for the tip! :worthy:

going to rome at the wkend...
suggestions to watch 13 in a row please...
Try Scholars Lounge.

The road its on is called the Plebescito which becomes the Via Vitor Emmanuelle I think. Directions should be in here.

Scholars

Not the cheapest place, be prepared to pay about 6 euro a pint.

Best place to watch the old firm game 27th Dec in Dublin???
They've been having a few problems finding a decent pub for Celtic games in Dublin recently. Below is the last update I got however I've no idea what the Castle is like. I'd say they'll probably have a band on after the hun game on the 27th, if you're interested I can let you know

Quote:

From Saturday, 29 November, the club meetings/ lotto draws will take place in THE CASTLE @ Croke Park.

When our regular meeting venue O'SULLIVANS/TRIVIA on Westmoreland Street closed indefinitely in October, we were offered the use of O'NEILLS in Suffolk Street.

However despite its excellent location, O'Neills was uncomfortably small. The recent Champions League game v Man.Utd was the first big game to be screened in the pub and the pub couldn't cope with the large crowd that turned up.

In addition the high price of the drinks was another turn off for our members.

The owners of THE CASTLE @ Croke Park have been looking for us to use their pub for the last six months or so. THE CASTLE is a brand new pub and the room they have us for is perfect for our needs. It is similar to the Sidewalk and is ideal for the bigger games. The venue will be exclusive to Celtic fans for all games live on TV.

The pub has installed Polsat to ensure live coverage of home games.

In addition, all pints are priced at €4 for live games on TV.

The pub is located at the junction of North Circular Road/Summerhill Road, five minutes walk from Gardiner Street/Parnell Street heading from the city centre.

Can anyone advise of a pub/bar in Birmingham which will be showing the Celtic - Dundee United match over the weekend.
gonna be in the selly park/selly oak area over the weekend

any info greatly apprectaited.
All of the CSCs/Celtic Pubs are on the north side of the City I'm afraid, I've never ventured over to one. The closest to Selly Oak is either the Small Heath one, or the one in Hockley (the Jewellery Quarter).

ST THERESA'S SOCIAL CENTRE (North Birmingham CSC) Perry Barr
JEWELLERS ARMS, HOCKLEY, B18 6BW (Tel: 0121 2364402) (Birmingham No2 CSC)
THE CAP 'N' GOWN, ASTON, B6 6SN
RUSKIN HALL, VICTORIA RD, ASTON (Birmingham Sons of Erin CSC) www.sonsoferincsc.com
THE EMERALD ISLE CLUB, 214 GREENLANE, SMALL HEATH

I honestly don't know if any show non-Setanta games. I'd definitely call to check before leaving the house.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Excellent, sounds like a mighty trip. Me and the missus are away on the 2nd of Jan. Cannae wait. If ye find somewhere to watch the game, please, if you can, stick the details up here.
found nothin in havana- did see highlights of the villa real game in maria la gorda though- it was on espn which most places with tv's seem to have.
you should have better luck up in varedero as it is very touristy. good luck, it's feckin sweet in cuba- sound people but it can be hella expensive- if you haven't got accommodation yet then go for the casa's over the hotels they're about a 5th price and decent enough
Cheers for that mate.

I am off to Fuertaventura in February for some winter sun . . however will also be there during the next Huns Game at CP.

According to celticbars.com there are three possible venues in Corralejo;

McCarthy's Irish Bar
Finnigans
Rosie O'Gradys

Can anyone recomend one particular bar over another? Will they all be showing the game? - Are they all Celtic-sympathetic pubs, they ain't going to switch over the channel should a Manchester United game be on?

Footnote: was in Lindos (Rhodes) when we last played the monkeys at CP, and they thrashed us 2-4, I hope this isn't some sorta trend . . should I cancel my holiday?

The Oxford Arms on Camden high street was showing a 3pm home game on, last time I was in London. Not an explicitly Cellic pub - you might have to share it with Arsenal fans watching their 3pm home game as well on another telly in the same bar. Great pub though.
