Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Gozo is dead, mate! Best place in Malta for football on telly is round about the Paceville / Sliema area (close to Valetta), plenty of big sports bars round there. Best of luck

We're off to Tenerife on Friday, imagine we'll have a jar or 3 in the Hoops Bar, Los Cristianos with Stevie & Gillian.
Grim Reality, cheers

We are going to Goo cause it's dead, we want/need a quite break away from it all but will have a hire car so can head anywhere for the game.
We drove around Gozo and stopped off in the main town/village for something to eat. I didn't see anything resembling a pub/sports boozer but that doesn't mean there isn't one tucked away on the island somewhere. But if you really need to see the game i wouldn't just leave it til the day to find a place on Gozo to watch it.

Alternatively get the ferry over to Malta (just drive on, no pre-booking, very hassle free) and take a spin down to the Sliema/Paceville/ St. Julians area, as lesdon67 has suggested, where most of the pubs and nightlife is concentrated.

The exact location I watched the hoops over there is on the wee Isla peninsula just south of Valetta, Triq Il-Tarzna road, eastern side of Isla (get out google maps!). Can't rem the pub name but its the only one there!

O'Sheas Irish bar is good craic usually, should have the game on unless United have a game on at the same time, in which case it's pot luck.

However if you head towards Deansgate from Piccadily you shouldn't go too far wrong! Its on the same road as a Grosvenor casino, is O'Sheas.

Or do what me and my mates do and cut through Canal Street . . . . :blueoyster:

The Forresters Arms always used to be the CSC in Bristol, it is out by Bristol Rovers/Rugby and the county cricket ground in north Bristol. No idea if it shows 3pm games on Saturdays though.

As for Dublin, Murray's is the big sport pub in the city centre, but it doesn't have the Celtic game listed for this weekend. The Castle near Croke Park is the home of Naomh Padraig CSC and the main other venue for watching our games. Don't know if it shows Saturday 3pm kick offs either and can't vouch for it as I have never ventured that far north.
