The Dubai Hoops meet at Dubliners in the Le Meriden at Garhoud out near the airport.

http://www.lemeridien-dubai.com/

Great bunch of guys - caught a match with them a few years ago.

Train there is a bit difficult, so make sure your cabbie takes you to the right hotel - there's a crappy Le Meridien called the Fairway nearby, across from the golf course.

It's a bastard to get around. I was up the other end of town last time I was there. Takes absolutely ages to get down to Deira, etc. Transport is cheap, but you've got to leave ample time.

Nearest train stops are GGICO and Airport Terminal 1 on the red line. I got off at GGICO and walked (I'm just mad enough to walk in UAE heat), but Terminal 1 is probably a better option - just hop a cab after that. Having said that, cab drivers in the UAE can be pretty selective about "short" distance fares (no distance is short in that heat!). Shouldn't be a problem at the airport, though - they'll just drop you off at the hotel then join the queue again.

Do get out there though - it's great to sit in with CSCs when you're on holiday, I reckon.

Its on at all 3 McGettigans pubs in Dubai - listed for 1600 hours

1 at Marina end of town - underneath Bonningtons Hotel, JLT (great pub) - plenty of screens

the others mid town at the World Trade Centre (not been) or at the Souk Madinah (been to the Souk but this is the the newest McG's & on the basis of it being there it would be the one I'd be least likely to go to)

Wheres the best place to catch Sundays game in the West End?
West end of Glasgow? Probably Tennents. Technically "mixed" but usually 60/40 Celtic. The Smiddy is the only Celtic shop open just now while the Dolphin is shut but that'll be rammed I'd expect.

Not that many boozers showing football these days - Coopers up GWR maybe, no idea what the mix is like for a game.

Cheers. Usually head to Tennents when I'm down in that area, seen Neil Lennon the last couple times in there. Wasn't sure if there was somewhere better suited for Sundays game; think I'll just go to Tennents again!

Looking for a place in bondi beach for the Hun game, any ideas?

Does the Sydney csc still watch the games in cheers in the city? Would prefer bondi since that's where I'm staying.

They have sky sports but not BT sport. They have most sky games on.

An international airport might not be the best place to get yourself arrested when the 7th goes in, though.

The Dubliner on the main drag will show it I'm sure. There is (was?) a Scottish bar too that put a game on for at some point but I had to ask. Think it was called the Scotsman.
