To any Toyko based Bhoys.

Will be in toyko for Man U away game and staying close to Toyko Central station.
Any suggested venues that game will be guaranteed to be on?
I guess also possible that it maybe on main TV there, but want to be sure.

Have you dropped a line to these folks?

I have been at the Brother Across The Ocean CSC at the Abbey Tavern. There is also the SF CSC, but it is a bit farther out of the city proper.

Brother
Venue: The Abbey Tavern
Address: 4100 Geary Boulevard (at 5th Avenue)
San Francisco
Tel: (415) 221-7767

SF
Venue: Fiddlers Green
Address: on El Camino Real in Millbrae.
Fiddlers is a couple of blocks north of Millbrae Avenue on the west side of El Camino
Tel: (650) 697-3419

Contact info for all US and Canada clubs (more or less regularly updated) can be found at www.nafcsc.com

As a general note MAKE SURE YOU CALL AHEAD if you can. This won't be a big deal for the Villareal game, but given the West Coast time difference, sometimes the clubs will watch less important games later on tape rather than at 4:30 in the morning. You don't want to show up in the dark for nothing. Also, you want to be absolutely sure the game is on before shelling out for a long cab ride.

TW

I'd suggest if you are willing to pay the cash, (and might not be working in the City, but down in the Valley) that you go the the Millbrae pub (its 5 mins drive from SFO), and a good 25 mins in a cab from the City (although the train from town to SFO drops you 5 mins from Fiddlers too).
Ive heard varying things from people about the Abbey, and know of some unpleasant stories from bhoys who live out there and who wouldnt go again, but, then again you could go and it might be great.
Fiddlers wont be that busy as its what an 11.45am kick-off, but, they are a pleasant bunch of people, and for any guests they are very welcoming and Ollie serves a good ale and a fine irish breakfast all day (including tattie scones)!

I used to be a member of the san fran csc at Fiddlers.

Having "googled" Fiddlers Green" I've found a Columbus Street address which seems to be a few minutes walk from my hotel.

Is this a completely different pub sharing the same name?

it will be different, the fiddlers green where the san fran csc meet is in Millbrae, not San Fran. Millbrae is a town around 25 mins south of the City. (either down H101 or H280). But you can get the train literally right there as it stops at Millbrae.
If you have a car whilst there, its dead easy to get to (280 is the scenic route) but either way you get down one of those 2 highways and come off at Millbrae onto El Camino Real and its 2 mins from there.)

They will definitely be showing the game live.

Effin find myself in Leeds Wednesday. got a good home for the ticket but am looking for a place to watch the game.

No offence but don't just tell me a pub in Leeds where there was a Celtic supporter in one night or who have a pennant behind the bar. I've been in England for CL games before and getting the match on in a pub was impossible (they're all watching Man U for example).

Help me please guaranteed venue in Leeds for the match live without aggro.

Cheers

Maguires on Regent Street will have the game. I've watched a few in there and it will be on.

Check Wim the Tim CSC website for details.

Somewhere to watch the game on Wednesday in Wigton, near Carlisle?

Cant name one mate but there is plenty of pubs in Carlisle.

Finding a pub in Carlisle won't be a problem.

Finding one which is showing the Celtic game and not the Man Utd game is going to be a problem.

The Griffin is supposedly where a Celtic bus leaves from and they are showing the Man Utd game.

So if anyone knows for definite where the game will be on then I'll owe you a virtual pint.

Cheers Doc, cracking pub. Did you check out the Celtic pennant behind the bar? :)

I didn't but I did say to colleagues i hope I'm not going to stick out like a sore thumb because I was the only scot in the place. Turned out I stood out like a sore thumb because i was the only guy without a Celtic top on in the place

This is the most Celtic orientated bar I've been in in the world I think. It even puts the back room in the Railway at Preston to shame.

Afternoon all

Myself and a group of mates including a few KDS officiandos are heading off to Fuengirola for a week of skite and golf.

We arrive in Malaga at 5pm on Tuesday and it will be down bags at the hotel and stright out to to watch the Villareal game.

Question is does anyone know of any any good Celtic pubs to watch this in in Fuengirola?

There are a few named on the celtic bars website but wondering if anyone (Malagajohnbhoy) had any inside info on where will definitely be showing the game.

Any info greatly appreciated as always

Cheers

My cousin is in London and looking for a bar with the Vilarreal game in Central London also.

The "Cock Inn" in Phoenix Road Euston (where the Celtic Supporters Club meets) looks like the best bet.
