Quoting limited to 3 levels deepcouldn´t
No problem -by the way Charlie and the Bhoys are playing in the Irish Times in Los Cristianos on 25th July if anyone´s there !
Just back from Las Americas, possibly going back.

Anywhere that plays more "rebs" other than a few Dubliners songs then the same old pop pish?

We tried the Temple Bar and the Dubliner and entertainment in both were quite similar. Few irish songs with Avicci/Killers covers inbetween :ffs:
Hoops Bar in Los Cristianos is a smashing wee place. Not really big enough for live entertainment but the Reb cds are always on and show every game home or away.
Only about 4 euros in a taxi from Las Americas

I stay next to Temple Bar and know the singer Liam very well . he has no interest in football of any kind or the "rebel" side of music, is a GAA guy , the guy Shamus who generally sing sing next door in Fiddler knows and occasionally sings some rebs but is dissuaded by the owners .
There's hardly any bar that will sing rebel songs due to the mixed clients nowadays thought the Hoops bar will play songs on match days .
The Irish Rover will also play some on match days but is more a cabaret bar , Dubliners, Irish Times , Claddagh , Hole in the wall, Chieftain all play soft Irish or modern .
As and aside . Liam and Paul from Dubliner's will be doing a small Scottish tour in August =
"Scotland here we come! Paul Fitzpatrick and I are returning to rock the east and west coast in August. Folks from Edinburgh .. We'd be delighted if you'd cross the bridge to Dunfermline on August the 7th to join us at PJ Molloys in Canmore St. And Glasgow we're expecting more of the same madness on the 8th and 9th at the Beresford Lounge in Sauchiehall St. Tickets will be available through PayPal, or from outlets in Glasgow / Edinburgh or at the Temple Bar from July 7th. There will only be 200 tickets per show and if you wish to reserve before the release date you can do so. Details of how to redeem your tickets will be posted on July 6th."

Good pubs to watch Celtic in Finnieston? There are no 'Celtic pubs' to my knowledge, just looking for the best neutral/non hun bar to watch the games.

Only place I know of is in Orlando itself (Orlando CSC, Lucky Leprechaun, International Drive). Can't see many other places having the game on since it almost certainly won't be carried on any TV channels over here.

Know the season's over but now that I'm living in Whistler, I'll be looking for a local CSC! There must be one in Vancouver, anyone on here a member of it?
http://kerrydalestreet.co.uk/topic/8255900/1/

I think our man Sparky is the one to ask about that - shoot him a PM.
Got him - cheers Tim

You'd be best just to head into town.

Malone's on Sauchiehall Lane is quite good for the games.

Sure, but Celtic TV requires a laptop hooked up to televisions and someone to deal with setting it all up and signing in, not to mention that unless you're an officially sanctioned CSC you're not supposed to be showing Celtic TV in a bar. So I'd be really surprised if you'll be able to see it anywhere other than a computer in someone's house or at the CSC ...
