Had we used this season to blood some youngsters and experiment a bit and play good football I think most would accept the points tally. We've played the most boring, mind numbing football I've seen from a Celtic team this season though, and, imo, losing so many points while playing like that is dreadful.
Indeed.

We have been boring at home since the turn of the year.

It is hard to tell these days - I have a good moan now and again, especially about Mulgrew but some people seriously would complain about the football we have playing.

If it was sarcasm mate then apologies!

Since the turn of the year our home form and away form has switched.

5 away games without a win for the first time since October 1998.

Firstly, apologies for my abstinence from KDS during lent, or rather the resultant loss of momentum with updating this page. Unfortunately my PC died prior to Easter, with the loss of the tables I'd been working on. And so, the final picture...

Not unexpected that we finished bottom of the table - that trajectory having been set in the early months of the season. Still, a respectable number of goals scored, having improved in the second half of the season.

I considered whether the margin over 2nd may reflect our relative performance at the outset, and I suppose the next table demonstrates it requires a bit of context.

I honestly believe that your PC would have ben better off if Rangers had been in the SPL.

Thanks for your efforts. Would have been really interesting to have been able to chart this game by game had it not bene for circumstances. Excellent effort. I really enjoyed checking this thread.

I don't think it's a coincidence that our three lowest title winning points tallies have come in the seasons when we qualified for the Last 16 of the CL.

06-07: lost to AC, then won 3 of our last 9 SPL fixtures;
07-08: lost to Barca, then won 1 of our next 6;
12-13: lost to Juve, then won 1 of 7 away games.

May as well have a bash at crunching some stats for the inaugural season of the SPFL Premiership. Again will stick to comparisons with the respective Celtic sides for the seasons since 2000/01, when the current 12 team/38 match format started.

Today continues our unbeaten start to the season for all 14 years.

Kinda slightly highjacking this but i got my hands on some data for the SPL as part of my job.

Pulled together a few generic averages for the data set looking at 2000-2012. Stuff like average wins,draws, losses, goal diff etc.

Its available at the following link if anyone wants a play with it although the table cuts off a few clubs like St Mirren and Gretna but you can see their data via the view as text button or the visualize button.
