Would be interesting to see a home vs away breakdown. I don't remember us ever being so poor at home whilst being excellent away from home. 7 goals vs 21 is quite staggering.
One of the pundits mentioned something like this last night but i don't understand it.

Before the weekend, we hadn't an identical home and away record - one defeat and two draws each.

Some of the away performances have been better, but results-wise, we'd dropped as many points.
What was a surprise was a claim in last night's commentary that we hadn't scored a goal in the 1st half in our previous 5 league games.

Yeah, no goals v. ICT, scored on second half awa to Aberdeen and Dundee utd away, and St Johnstone at home, and no goals against killie.

In saying that, we've only failed to score in three games all season (in all competitions).

Last year as well we were a lot better away from home than at home. Though we won the vast majority of our home games as well to be fair, but it was pretty boring stuff at times with few goals.

All at home, interestingly (Benfica, Kilmarnock, Inverness).

Home record is

Only the second time we've ever finished with a positive goal difference.

Home record is
Even more  is the diiference between the home and away records. You would think it was two different teams.
Percentage wise, the home record must be up there with the best in the CL.

Benfica have taken more points off of us (10 points) than any other Champions League opponents, and have even achieved that rarest of all things - coming to Parkhead and taking points off of us here.

And yet - on all 3 occasions now - we've finished 2nd in our group, and consigned Benfica to 3rd spot and elimination them from qualifying for the last 16.

You'd almost say the cheating, diving, sneaky, robbing Portugese bastards deserved it! ;)

For those Benfica fans with longer memories, there's also the last European Cup tie to be decided by a coin toss - 1969, having finished 3-3 on aggregate :chuffed:

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of diving, cheating bastards! :chuffed:

Next time we play them (and we probably will - soon), everytime one of their players goes down and dives (which they will), one of our players should just stand over them and say, "Haha, You're gittin' pumped oot by us, ya cheating Portugese dick!"

Neil Lennon's Celtic are History Bhoys

CELTICīS recent victories over Spartak Moscow and Arbroath have guaranteed that Neil Lennon and his squad are set to make a little piece of history when the new year dawns.

This will be the first season in over 40 years that the Hoops have gone beyond Christmas and still been involved in all four major competitions that they entered at the start of the season.

In fact, you have to go back to the heady days of Jock Stein and season 1968/69 to register a campaign when this last occurred.

Took that to mean that they are still in the CL and not dropped to the Europa.
