Worst home form this century, but on the verge of the double treble. Funny old season.

Enjoyed this thread a lot more last season, for obvious reasons.

Thanks Piperbhoy, looking forward to next year's!

Was wondering how the averages would work.

Admittedly, we've lowered/increased a lot of the averages with this season's results.

I think it's a really useful comparison (as opposed to looking at last year's exceptional record(s).

The number of draws and low scoring is the concern. 5 0-0 draws this season. I imagine that's the most since TB's second season (giratvone back at Parkhead after the Hampden year).

So this season's stats match the Tony Mowbray season almost exactly, apart from finishing 1st!

This did throw me for a moment till I remembered that Lennon stepped in and won the last 8 games.

Fascinating stats--thanks!

The winning percentage sheet is especially interesting. Amazing, really, that we won in '85-'86 with such a low percentage of wins. Equally, to not have won in '02-'03 with those numbers is astonishing (though, as it turned out, explicable  ) in other words, the disparity between our "best" second place season and our "worst" championship is vast. I expect some would use it as an indication of the lack of depth in the Scottish game now as opposed to then.

(Just as well there was no KDS for the brutal '47-'48 Division A season...)

I hadn't realised just how abject 89/90 was.
Seems to be the second lowest number of goals we have scored, with the lowest being in a 22 game season.

Dziekanowski was top scorer in the league with...8

:( Brutal.

John Collins was our top goalscorer in 94/95 with 8 league goals too. Unthinkable in today's Celtic era :o
