The tenth round of matches included a few memorable moments, such as :larsson: and :nakamura: hat-tricks at home to Aberdeen in 2003 and away to Dundee Utd. in 2006 respectively.

In terms of significance, down 0-3 at half time away to Kilmarnock last year marked the darkest point of the season, commentators already referring to Lennon's St. Mirren. Of course the remarkable fight back to earn a draw marked the beginning of our resurgence and it was no looking back until the summit of the league. Hopefully this and the following gives some perspective on today's desperately disappointing result:

One year later we're reigning champions on top of the league (1 point better off than last season), between Champions League ties against Barcelona and der hun are but a stinking nightmare, having gone bust several months ago :lolhuns: ;
if Carlsberg did fairytales they'd be totally unbelievable, including gorgeous Greek heroes :manlove: , googly eyed villains :tgef: and spectacled policemen :taxmancometh2: .

^^^what a journey that has been. :rocker:

most concerning this season would be the "goals for ", which is tying for our lowest total in years. Strange that the opposition is supposed to be seriously undermined by the death of our nearest rivals, yet we aren't scoring.. :ponder:

Having previously recovered from our worst start to the season, dropping 5 points in 2 games brings us crashing back to the bottom of the table. Last season's poor start having turned round from this point on, we know that to keep pace with second bottom of the table as it stands it'll have to be 100% until the new year. Possible, but likely? :twitch:

Still, top of the league with a game in hand and due to welcome Barcelona to Paradise :thumbsup:

After throwing points away a couple of weeks ago, having lost sloppy goals at the end of each half :naught: tonight's result puts us back to our best ever performance at this stage of the Champions League, even if we did allow Messi a late consolation.

Led by Captain Samaras :wub: the bhoys have put us where we belong. The permutations for going away to Benfica could hardly be more favourable, indeed history demands a point off a
0-0 draw, but I demand we write our own history with 3 points :arrr:

Dropping 7 points in three games inevitably leaves our performance as poor as it has been over the past 13 years. Remarkably we haven't won our 12th match since 2008, having lost to Dundee Utd. in 2009 and Hearts in 2010, then drawing with Hibs last year and St. Johnstone yesterday.

Looking at the points dropped to date, and comparing the record, we have now dropped more points than any other season at this stage, and more than the entire 2001/02 season.

Credit to Aberdeen today - a good advert for the SPL on the pitch and fans in good voice and numbers off it :thumbsup: Attendance up 5k on the equivalent fixture last year - an extra £100k into their coffers.

Just checked that 2003-4 season - the one non-win was a 0-0 with Dunfermline in the first game, so the next 13 were all victories, including a burst of 5-4-5-5-5 goals scored in successive games. Two Sutton hat-tricks...jeez. The good ol' days, right enough.

One of the pundits mentioned something like this last night but i don't understand it.

Before the weekend, we hadn't an identical home and away record - one defeat and two draws each.

Some of the away performances have been better, but results-wise, we'd dropped as many points.
