Right! Time we went on a goal scoring spree to see if we can make inroads into the goal difference!
Next three games 2003/04 season, 2-0, 6-0 and 3-0
We won 5 games in a row scoring 5 goals in each match or something in the November. We were determined to make up for losing on goal difference the previous season

55 points and 52 goals at the half way mark! What are the chances of a double ton?

Look at the difference in the goals conceded home and away in the 07/08 season. Mental.

Goal scoring at home and conceding away has bumped 03/04 team 16 ahead on the GD, get it sorted after the break Brendan :arrr: :)

You forget at times how good we were 03/04.

Great work on this as always.

Yeah with a reserve team, played them a fortnight later at full strength & won 6-0.

I'd rather this team didn't equal let alone break the games won in a row record from 2003/2004 unless it's an unbeaten season, that side 13 years ago is by a country mile the greatest Scottish team I've ever seen. I'd rather their record stood the test of time, 2003/2004 doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

It wasn't the treble season of 00/01, our first title defense in 2 decades & first outing in the Champions League like 01/02 or even the Seville season 02/03 but it was the greatest & most dominant Celtic of the 5 MON years.

2003/2004 should not only have been a treble season but also an unbeaten league season, 0 defeats from the opening game to we clinch the league at Rugby Park, then 2 defeats after we won it both at home :brickwall:

Also scudded the huns 5 times.

I don't understand this thinking at all. I'd be perfectly happy for any Celtic team or manager to beat anything we've done in the past. Would you want us to lose the game where we'd break the record? :ponder:

:ponder:
You can pick apart any record in any sphere and come up with "aye buts". The fact is people just look at the record book. If this team beats the present record then that's the fact. As you say - "let's just lose one of the next three games so we don't beat the old record" - don't think so.

crazy diamond

This season will be remembered as Brendan Rodgers' First Treble season rather than the domestic invincibility season
