Fair chance I'll be less available/inclined to update this over the festive period, so this table includes results up to the New Year Glasgow Derby.

Shockingly we'd still be a point better off than 2009/10 even if we lose to Motherwell, Hearts, Dundee & Partick :nono: in which eventuality I suspect the odds of Deila being given a further nine matches up to Mowbray's St. Mirren finale will be on a par with Labour beating the SNP in 2016 and a defeated Sturgeon crossing the pond to be Trump's running mate. Hitting fifth in the overall running off the back of four wins would be decent, whilst we'd still move up the table with 3 wins and a draw.

4 points better off than last year, having scored more goals and conceded the same number.

Not bad. We dropped 5 points in Dec last year as well so hopefully we can stay focused over the Christmas period and build up some momentum in the league.

He included the next four games over the holidays - we've now played 18.

Yup.

Ironically, we lost to Dundee United at a similar time last year. We had the full week to prepare for the match after the European fixtures had ended earlier in December.

There was, likewise, no excuse for our lack of focus and drive yesterday. Really, really frustrating

The referee had a big say in that Dundee United game. The same can't be said of yesterday.

What about the two stonewall penalties in the first half he chose not to award.. That's a pretty big say in the game

An update from match day 19, which was the draw with the minis. Surprisingly we are 1 point ahead of last year and have scored 11 more goals.

Cheers man.

The geeky part of me always enjoys this thread getting updated.

I know we all know this, but I'll say it again - we were feckin animals in season 2003/04 and put many of the wrongs from 2002/03 right. (apart from Europe obviously).

Bit harsh to highlight Europe in terms of not correcting wrongs in 2003/04.

Apart from the Anderlecht defeat, we did extremely well in putting up a respectable Champions League campaign (including 2 fantastic performances at home to Lyon & Anderlecht), drawing with Bayern Munich (who celebrated said draw), beating Barcelona and getting to the UEFA Cup Quarter Finals.

Domestically - we were unplayable in 2003/04, although fecked it up against Hibs I think, for the treble.

You're right to an extent with regards to Europe, although for me I think we were stronger than the previous year but disappointly fell short against Villareal.

Anyway, that's been done to death on here many times previously.

So after 22 we're sitting about "mid table". Seems a reasonable reflection of the season. Stats don't lie!

Not relevant but in 2007/08, at this stage we had only conceded 2 home goals but 16 away goals!
