Watching him against GB underlines to me why we should do what we can to hold on to the lad.

He has a quality none of our current midfield possess.

He can pick a pass, has fantastic dead ball delivery, and his ball retention and awareness is above that of any other midfielder in our squad.

I'd rather lose Kayal or Brown than Ki, as I think they are too similar.
Helsinki and even Aberdeen today, showed that we are limited when attempting to unlock stubborn defences

Figures of 6-8 million have been banded about, for that kind of money Im sure we will cash in.

Stick for me.

Best passer we have.

Only sell for funny money.

Miles better than the likes of £15m Joe Allen tonight.

Not bad for a fifth choice midfielder

Really like Ki and what he is capable of doing. I'd prefer to keep him over Kayal, if forced to choose, because we already have someone who can provide for what we would lose should Kayal depart, while not having someone who could provide for what Ki brings to the table should he depart.

What we really need is creativity in center midfielder. Ki is the closest we have at present.

Stick but only if he signs a new contract. If not, then we have to cash in. I think he's a terrific player.

Twist. Good player but not always suited to the SPL. Slows game down as well at times. Good passer of the ball, good technique. If we get offered £7 million, we should sell.

I'd like to keep him, and would agree that brown or kayal should go before him.........However, if it's the case that we need to sell a midfielder before buying a centre half, and he's the one that teams want, then I'd reluctantly let him go........

He's a saleable asset , wants to leave , by all accounts we'll get a good price. Excellent midfielder.

Watching him now play a more withdrawn , cautious role and he's been great. Considering the average price of an english team midfielder is £10 mill + then Ki is worth his weight in gold.

No point letting his contract run down. Nearly every player who signs their bumper 2nd deal with us looses worth. Sell at their peak.

Ki , Kayal , Ledley , Wanyama , Hooper , Matthews etc

Sell them for good , good money and reinvest. Multiple turnover of saleable assets increases profits , stature and allows us to build.

Team has good individuals at present but isn't a great team. We need defenders and another striker. We need investment.

Starting with Ki.

Totally agree, keep him. But if he does not sign new contract punt him and get the cash.

He's my favourite player in the current squad and I think he's the most creative player we have, although I would admit that he didn't live up to expectations last season. I'd be disappointed to see him go, but an offer of £8million+ and we'd have to listen.

We have 3 solid players in midfield, with Wanyama, Brown and Kayal.

If we can't shift one one to accomodate Ki, I fear we will spend our time watching our midfielders win the ball, then, well....erm, win it back after giving it away.

It all depends on what a proposed bid is, and how much is made available to Neil Lennon to get other targets.

If selling him meant we could get a solid CB and striker in - absolutely.

If selling him meant bringing in a poor quality CB or striker - Naw.

We can cope without him in midfield, but he's a quality player, and shouldn't be sold on the cheap.

The question of when to let go of players is possibly
the most difficult when it comes to the curent Celtic model.

We will always have to shift players in for a profit
if we require the constant investment in players
the Celtic team demands.

Kia is a fantastic player, although not without
faults. Do we keep him for Europe where he is
a necessity or keep him for the slog and grind of
the SPL that is our daily reality?

Kayal and Izzaguire are also fantastic players,
with their own faults. Through form
and injury pose the question of wither you
should sometimes let the go of a player after
one fantastic season.

In the question of if we should keep the asset
which is Davie Ki as an asset I think that the answer
is the same answer of any of our midfielders.

If through leaving one of them can enable us to
get the defender and striker we all know we need we need
then it's cheerio.

Which one do I think that should be?

Which ever one someone wants to give us the cash for?
