you have to conclude that the majority of our support are either a) lazy bastards or b) moaning faced angry bastards, or c) a combination of a and b, if they cant walk the 15 minutes into Glasgow from Celtic Park.

Having a direct transport link so close to the stadium only leads to you becoming item c) above, and watching your fellow supporters leaving 10 minutes before the end of every game, and eventually watching the team go into liquidation.

Feck that, ill take the 15 minute wander into town any day.
15 Minutes!!!! It must be like watching a Benny Hill sketch you walking into toon!!!! Cue theme music..
The faster I've ever run 10K is just under 45 mins - I'd need to go at around that pace to cover Celtic Park to the city centre in 15 mins

But still, I'd be more likely to walk than want to drive etc.

I've been living in Stirling for the last four years (at uni) so I was usually getting the train down to Queen Street anyway, and I'd just jump on the train to Duke Street. Only six minutes between the two, but it's a 15/20 minute walk from DS to my seat in Jock Stein Upper. It also usually means a long wait for a train back into town, and I'd inevitably have just missed the train to Stirling, because I insist on staying to the end, even at that rotten St Johnstone game the other month. I'd prefer having a station or bus link closer to Paradise, but it's the frequency of the trains that bothers me the most. There are also no trains to DS on a Sunday, which means I have to go to Bellgrove, which is a fair bit further away, despite what most punters seem to think.
Next season I'll be staying in Glasgow, but not sure whereabouts yet, so don't know what my situation will be like. More regular trains would be much appreciated, though.
Colm im sure there is a train at 11mins past at belgrove to queen st ,that
gets in on plenty time for Stirling train .getyerarseingear c.s.c.
Walk across george Square to Argyle Street Low Level.Few minutes walk. Dalmarnock station is the nearest station to Celtic Park.far better than the longer walk up London Road from Bridgeton.

Unfortunately,Dalmarnock is closed until November. Start using it. Sundays-some,if not all trains don't stop at Dalmarnock. That may change.Straight leisurely 5-10 minute walk to Celtic Park. The transformation of he area at the moment is incredible.Dalmarnock Station is undergoing a complete transformation.

Can't understand supporters using Bridgeton station. Once it's complete, use Dalmarnock.

Plenty of buses at Ingram street to get to Bridgeton Cross,Dalmarnock or the Gallowgate. Bus stop is the first one on Ingram Street off Queen Street.
Cheers, I'll try going that way when Dalmarnock reopens. Only got the train from there once, when I had to get to Central, and I didn't really notice how close it was.

I used to have to wait 30 odd mins coming out of the forge retail car park after walking from the top end of the north stand at full time. I didnt mind, I saw the game to the end and could listen to the dimwits who present and call into the shows.

Now I can leave the house at 240 and be in my seat just before kickoff, which is great. I can understand folk leavbing early if they have things on, but do 20,000 folk REALLY need to piss off when the games still in the balance?

The walk in on the way in from the Gallowgate or London road the area is starting to look really good now. With the new road and landscaping the stadium really stands out in the openness. The huge Glasgow's green and white banners on either side of the superstore top it off. Be a pleasant surprise for anyone not been that way yet.
Its cracking...dead impressive....was down that way last week

I've cycled a few times and it's very handy, door-to-stadium in about 9 minutes. It also means not having to walk back through Bridgeton on my tod at midweek games (seems to be a lot of police around for the Saturday/Sunday games before the match, but I can't remember too many after the game).

The main problem is you work up a wee bit of a sweat and Glasgow in autumn or spring can be quite inclement, so you sit there shivering your baws off. Also, the last game of the season, people were coming up one after the other to ask where their seat was, and I was thinking WTF, I don't know, over there I think. Then I realised I still had a reflective jacket on, so they obviously thought I was a steward.

There are security guards kicking around so the bike looking after the cars in the car park, so the bike is usually safe.
