I knew there was something funny about that, didn't want to commit and find out that everyone called him 'Jimmy', would have felt a right tit.

Slovan Bratislava away; I think that dude is either Lubo's dad or uncle.

To think we could've won the ECWC that year (when we finished eights points behind Deidco in the league), but for the insane tactics away to MTK when we were 3-0 ahead from the first leg. :nono:

I know it is McGarvey, can you tell me the match?
McGarvey wore the #11 shorts in Europe v. Ghent and Rapid Vienna; I would guess it's the former.

That game finished 2-1 to us, with Nicholas wearing the #11 shorts; however, McGarvey wore them against Killie in the second home fixture that season in February 1983... 4-0, with Frank scoring two. .

I met John Greig,Jimmy Millar and Ralph Brand in a chippy in Edinburgh after a game with the old huns after we beat them ,they were good guys,Willie Henderson has a pub in Broxburn where the Celtic bus leaves from,at the `end of the day` it`s only a game
Willie Sold it a wee while back but you are right it was the Celtic Boozer in Broxburn.

Lovely man who sadly lost his daughter to cancer very recently she was in her early 30s :(
I can vouch for that- I've met Willie Henderson a few times, always comes across as a really nice guy, a proper gentleman.

Does any have or even seen a pre match team picture from the 1970 European Cup Final ?
Got over 700+ images of line-ups & squad photos and never once seen an image of the team in the San Siro that night.
