Is that not the 1969 SCF?
I think it was 1971 but style wise 1969 fits better.
Did you mean  1869?

I met John Greig,Jimmy Millar and Ralph Brand in a chippy in Edinburgh after a game with the old huns after we beat them ,they were good guys,Willie Henderson has a pub in Broxburn where the Celtic bus leaves from,at the `end of the day` it`s only a game
Willie Sold it a wee while back but you are right it was the Celtic Boozer in Broxburn.

Lovely man who sadly lost his daughter to cancer very recently she was in her early 30s :(
Heard from many people that wee Willie was a class act. One of Jinky's best mates too.

From the 1904-05 season when the big shed was burnt down.

Its the first time that image has surfaced on the tim'ternet although one like it without the background appeared as a postcard.

Some of the greatest names in Celtic's history in it, including Jimmy Quinn, McMenemy (Scotland cap on) and a very young Eck McNair :suspect:
Sorry - I don't know where I got the "goalie wears a cap" stuff. Is it true? :ponder:

Maley has certainly been pasted in. Maybe in place of the absent goalkeeper.
The goalie (Davie Adams) is the giant in the middle row, Your right in saying GK did wear caps in them days and there is a image of Adams wearing one but Celtic keepers seemed to wear white neckties.

Quite a few of the early Celtic line-ups were photoshopped as this one shows.

I take it Sid Fishes is the son of Dick Barton of Skipka Pass fame.

Jimmy Millar was (and still is, I believe) a member of a bowls club I played at when a student in Edinburgh. Been in his company a few times, and seemed like a thoroughly decent guy- age is beginning to take it's toll on him, sadly :( .

I just can't bring myself to post anything tonight, this current shower of imposters have damm near broke my heart. CB you are right about Samaras, I genuinely thought he would put in a lion heart performance after Ajax but he sold his shirt along with two thirds of the team. It's nearly as bad as helicopter Sunday  , I'm off to look at pictures of real Celtic footballers.

"Played" is debateable? - "Turned out" more like.

Definitely not a case of "Like father like son" unfortunately. :(
