Celtic and Bohemians.
Is that Willie Maley next to Jock? If it is, there are three generations of Celtic Manager in the same photo.
It is - It was his Testimonial.
Your right as per norm CB, the caption on the still was 'MaleyTest' , I thought they were checking his blood sugar levels :ffs:

They seem on the surface to be at ease with each other for want of a better word. In reality would it be fair to say that the tribal animosities were not for the most part, expressed off the field between these players from that generation, given that for the most part they were all local lads?

Every Celtic player I have ever spoken with from that period counts ex Rangers players from then as some of their best friends.

By all accounts Baxter, Henderson, Greig, Johansen and Jackson were great guys.

Suppose they can't help who they play for

Very true, St A, often shudder to think if my Mam, God rest her, met a Scottish sailor at a dance I could be an ugly cross eyed, bitter, aggressive, sly, cheating, bluenose now. Did I leave anything out?

Popped up on twitter from @celticservant
Great picture. Early 1900s I'd say - cycle track still running round Parkhead. And Quinn signed in 1900, and is peripherally placed in the photo, suggesting he is early in his career as a Celtic player.

And the goalkeeper is front right. Pretty certain they used to wear the same strip, but they had to wear a cap to distinguish themselves from the outfield players.
From the 1904-05 season when the big shed was burnt down.

Its the first time that image has surfaced on the tim'ternet although one like it without the background appeared as a postcard.

Some of the greatest names in Celtic's history in it, including Jimmy Quinn, McMenemy (Scotland cap on) and a very young Eck McNair :suspect:
Sorry - I don't know where I got the "goalie wears a cap" stuff. Is it true? :ponder:

Maley has certainly been pasted in. Maybe in place of the absent goalkeeper.

 I have to admit after what my government has done to me taxwise over the last five years I am very open to every form of dogyiness involing me trying to keep hold of my hard earned wages. If murray and his gang of spivs ever write a book about how they screwed the system, I'm liable to buy it, after all they are the experts.

Top pic Wee boy/Willie Henderson/TG/Bobby Murdoch/Cesar and possibly Pat Crerand's napper with a keeper called Bobby Ferguson in the middle but not sure of that.

Bottom pic - Cesar/Greig/TG/McKinnon/Wee boy/Willie Henderson/Bobby Murdoch and Willie Johnston.

Baxter and Crerand used to hold court every afternoon after training in the St.Enoch hotel.

I think it was 1971 but style wise 1969 fits better.
