Maybe the same game :ponder:
I put these on the wiki it's definately Dumbarton who played in Wolves style strips against us on 5/10/74, 8/3/75 SC, and 23/8/75 LC.

Wonder whatever happened to the moat the guy had built next to Boghead Park to stop football fans walking through his garden.

A Old Unseen Photograph of Celtic Park

Anybody got a idea whats its all about and the year when it was taken?

Even Closer

Recruiting at halftime for the Boer War.

:ponder:
The pitch looks like a ploughed field. Must be close season.
We rarely got crowds that big in the early days.

It could either be a recruitment day which would surprise me or even a Scotland v England game between 1894 and 1900.
John McLaughlin Celtic chairman and SFA President in 1899 proposed a 'patriotic fund' for the families of those fighting in the Boer War whuch caused some ructions as the Boers were regarded as the anti imperialists of the time. There wasn't much controversy when Celtic Park was later used as a recruiting station for World War 1 complete with half time announcements to 'join up before the fun's over'.Celtic's desire to integrate and gain 'respectability' in the society they were in is often underestimated.Puts the poppy controversy in some context as well..

Ma first thought actually was Paul Wilson believe it or not :o
But somehow ah convinced masel that if ye look at the bhoy's arms
they don't look dark enough tae be Paul :ph43r:
Then the date of 1967 put me off him as well - because ahm sure ah read
once that Big Jock signed him in '67 and farmed him straight out tae Maryhill
or somebody like that, so that mebbe he never turned out for us at that time :ponder:
It might well be him, but a wee naggin doubt still remains :brickwall:

Never knew we had the shamrock on the corner flags as late as that. Thought the story was Stein got rid?

The Huns' end is covered: that was completed prior to 68/69 starting; the old stand was gone by 71/72.
