This one brings back a lot of memories for me as a boy.

I loved this strip for one reason, because Wallace and Hughes had signed for them

Think we were fated to lose that day or the Big Yin upstairs had fell out with us.

4-1 Thistle in a Cup Final ffs

No Cesar and Jinky going having to go off didn't help - We went to Firhill a month later and skelped them off the park 5-1 to the Good Guys.

The two Thistle players in the pic Glavin and Bone (Jock wtf!!!) ended up at Celtic.
Another big mistake that day was having a full back as sub - Jim Craig.

Not a criticism of Jim it's just that Jock nearly always had a striker as sub just in case.

Lennox or Wallace as sub that day could've made a big difference.

But you know what ? I don't begrudge Partick or Raith one moment of their glory against us.

I've been fortunate enough to see us win plenty
Me too and don't begrudge them their moment.

More so Thistle as it was just one of those days - Raith was a shocker and pisses me off that hun fud Dalziel got a winners's medal slightly tempered by the fact Narey bowed out with one as I had a lot of time for Narey who was a class act.

He was very honest in his admission about being a deadco man and the friends he lost when he signed for us (were they really friends in the first place?) Also looking at the money back in those days, he's signing on fee was £1000 with no renumeration for the six years he spent at the lites, he was essentially on a six month contract when he signed, if it went wrong?

What a player Narey would've been for us.

Who's number 5? Callaghan wearing 10? And why wasn't Lennox included?

Now he really wasn't too enamoured - I always think of that scenario when I drive by St.Francis (as was ) in the Gorbals.
