I was there last year for cup replay and there are trees next to a pub behind the stand - there were probably more in the 70s,
if you go on Arbroath FC website it actually has a 360 degree map of the ground where you can look outside and see.

The place has not changed much since 80s

The great Patsy Gallacher, 1919.
Belter. Very rare good quality pic of the Grant Stand with the big iron bru advert in huge writing. At the same time opposite we had a massive advert painted on the Hayshed roof for the Weekly News.

I knocked her back, I was too busy on the curry and white wine being served up that day, same day as Paul Wilson et all launched the 1254125 on the pitch, I was allowed in the boardroom back then

I'm sorry but it has to be. St Anthony was right with the original shout - the only game this can be was 72 LC group game in August, which you can tell by KD's bright red face in the sun! Macari played in that game at No10.

Ochilview has similarities with white railing and narrow floodlights but only time Celtic went there in that period was League Cup q-f in Sept 75 on a Wednesday night - and I was there - with Roy Aitken's debut, I think.

The angle of the shot means it looks as if the trees are right next to it but they're in the background just as they are now, only you can't see them now. Gayfield had its new stand built in 1975 and terracing not concreted unitl 80s

Probably down to insomnia, spend a lot of time trawling the net looking for pictures of interest (that sounds a bit pervy  , but you know what I mean) and I also spent a few years working in the States for the most part without my family and this gave me a lot of time to kill. From time to time you come across sites that contain a decent selection of stills, I think that one came from a site specifically about Scottish football which had dozens of great images posted. I know it is hard to avoid repetition but I try to avoid posting any stills that have a KDS link. When I discovered this thread a long time ago I spent many a night playing catch up and have genuinely learned more about Celtic from the lads on here than from any other source. Again great credit is due to the original posters from whatever source

Had to bring the family down to Cork today for some Xmas shopping and spent the time reading a few Celtic related books. There is a new autobiography out from Kevin Kilbane who is a self confessed Celtic fan and in his book he wrote about David Moyes dad arranging a tour of castlegreyskull, as he worked there. He also stated that there was a picture of the queen in their dressing room which he found very strange. She seems a perceptive enough woman, you would wonder does she really appreciate having the love & affection of that shower up the road and would she if it was possible cast them off to one of her backwater colonies.
