Very young Auld at the front, unless I'm mistaken.

Amazing to think he played in the same teams as Fernie, Evans, McPhail and Tully; the Lions; and the Quality Street Gang. Narrowly missed playing alongside Stein as well.

Always liked that pic of Bertie Auld.

I love how they all appear to be putting in some modicum effort whilst the Bold CPT :worthy: is hovering on his tip-toes with a "Aye you think so - That will be right!!!" persona.

Love the opening line of Tully's autobiography:

"I was born on the 11th of July, 1924 in Belfast. Being me, I wish my ma had hung on for 24 hours."

(Quote is from memory. If anyone has Passed to You, the exact quote would be much appreciated).

Charlie's son Charlie Tully Jnr and his grandson Paul Tully were over a while back and were up at Lennoxtown and the joke between Charlie Jnr and Neil Lennon was that Jnr walking around Lennoxtown was the most exercise ever undertaken by a Tully at a Celtic Training Ground. ;)

Is that not Fernie at the very front. I see Fallon, Evans, and the good looking guy in the middle jumping the highest is Peacock.

Nah, it's not Tony Fitzpatrick.

Especially not for Aberdeen.

At first glance I thought it was Scanlon but I think it is Fitzpatrick.

Brilliant picture of Danny McGrain.

Really miss watching that man play.

To me this is what I remember as his prime, but older posters would probably say it was a few years earlier, in the midTo late 70s.

If this was the case, it is truly amazing that when we was apparently past his prime (1980 onwards) he was still considered to be amongst the best, if not THE best right back in the world.

An exceptional player.
