My first legal pint in 1980 was 70p ,get me a time machine.
In 1971, 5 years before the Who, a pint of Tartan Special was 14p and a pint of Harp Lager was 15p.

In the Kestrel, Cumbernauld 3 pints of Harp and 2 Vodka & lime and a handsome bung to the waitress all for £1.

Johnny Doyle, second goal in 2-0 win over Madrid 1980
Loved the away strip from that season: all green, with a chalk-stripe and white V-neck on the shirt... it's my second favourite after the jade geen/black Italian looking number.

EDIT: Think we only wore all-green in the return leg against RM; it would seem the shorts were normally white.

Aye true that but I never ventured out that way much in those days - Still don't come to think of it - The last time was a sad occasion Willie O' Neill's funeral :( - God Bless Him a Great Guy with a terrific humour.

Dalliance :i_say: - You have been away too long BC.

Once many a moon ago I had similar with the daughter of a fecker who it turned out was a real bigot - Was never going to go anywhere we both knew that but I stayed around for a few months as she was borderline nympho and I knew it was grinding his gears so badly that the Fenian wick was being dipped with his precious offspring.

Go on the Fenians. :coelho:

At the top of the page where its now McStay, there used to be one of Dalglish wearing a dark green top, I've always wanted it but could never find it on any retro tops website.

some gems here!! There's a question (probably for another thread) ,should we have a defined away kit? One that can change its collar and general style to copy the home kit (like this year) but maintain an iconic Celtic kit as opposed to the constant changes? There are only a few change/away kits like this that I can think of.. The Arsenal yellow and blue combo. Man U's blue one. Every other club has a black kit so should we be different? It also need to avoid any clash ... no all green as the stupidly make us change v Hibs! Just a thought... too much time on my hands!! FWIW I think the yellow and green is the one!!!
