Yeah.
I was saying I'd have said Fachetti was the captain at that time.
Wrong again.
Typical wingin' it lawyer hoping nobody notices. ;)
Oi! Even a old git like me still knows Mazzola has a moustache and Facchetti didn't :arrr:

Methinks thou dost protest way. way too much. :)

Be honest you knew the Captain wasn't Sarti and could remember Facchetti* and Mazzola and therefore took a chance and figured one of them was the Captain aka as wingin' it. ;)

I notice you don't deny the part about Lawyers wingin' it Your Honour. :ph43r:

fwiw there are pictures of Facchetti with a mouser but not at that time.

Jeez, I'm older than you. My first cup final was the Dunfermline 3-2 game and my first Euro night was against FC Zurich in 1966.

Decent big keeper and a long career, started off as a youth with Shamrock Rovers 1960
and finished with Spurs 1986.

Aye, Caesar scored a fair few important goals in his time; that one probably ranks a very close second - by a fraction of a baw-hair - behind his winner in the 1965 SCF.

Not sure what £4 would be worth nowadays - That said The Who had had their early singles and Tommy/Who's Next/ Quadrophenia/Who by Numbers all well established by then - Throw in SAHB who were regarded as local - Little Feat who were big at the time and Streetwalkers who were an offshoot of Family and most would probably have been happy enough to cough up the £4.

£24.42 according to This is Money's inflation calculator.

Not bad at all really for that line up

And the old boys gate prices in say... 1986 of £1.50 would equal £3.73 now

Eeeeeek!!!!!

Dunno. You cannae do it backwards like that.

But if we assume a pint now in Glasgow to be, what? £3.60?

About 60p or thereabouts.
