Stevie Chalmers against Spurs.
Willie Wallace !
:ffs: Would you believe me if I told you I was testing you
A good old fashioned Kds MOD like Klubber* would have given you a week's ban for that sacrilege ce/ Bernie.

*Luckily for you Klubber is so exhausted with his unfailing devotion to keeping an eye on all these Kds threads that he is now taking a rest. ;)

OK, I see McDonald, Quinn, McCluskey, Deans, Wison & Davidson. (L to R top & bottom.) Who are the others?
Things to do and places to go so last one for today - Better have at least one more CL point on return.

Back Row - L to R - Roddy McDonald, Frank Welsh, Denis Connaghan, Brian McLaughlin, jimmy Quinn and Jackie McNamara Snr.

Front Row - L to R - Pat McCluskey, Dixie Deans, Paul Wilson, Vic Davidson and Kevin McCool.

Don't know much about McCool and doubt he ever played for the First team.

No idea about the game but must be about 1973?

Having played on and usually failed on :( that park a good few times I am sure it is Lesser Hampden - It has an old dirt track up to the pavilion which is really an old converted farmhouse - Lesser Hampden was built on a farm and they kept the farmhouse and adopted it as the dressing rooms - Hopefully they have improved a bit inside nowadays. :ffs:

pd1978 is not allowed to answer and to help neither of the answers is Rod the Plod who would seem the most likely candidate?

Just to add to the joys of playing on Lesser Hampden it was closed down for a while as it was contaminated with Chromium :o - Fire in Rosebury which was also contaminated (think Jim 62 said it was Chromium as well) - They sure knew how to look after your Health and Safety in those days.

Celtic -Derby County friendly 1975 - you'll see it on the front of cover of Shoot further down thread, posted by Elvis. Think it was Edvaldsson's first game
It was edvaldsson's first game.Derby had won the English league and I remember being in the middle of the jungle.I thought Roy McFarland was a really dirty player. In those days friendly games were a lot more competitive and it was great to beat the English champions.

Another giant of the management business here, with Jock Stein (second right) in charge of Celtic for the first time, with a match at Airdrie which the Bhoys won 6-0 in March, 1965. It was the sign of things to come, with Stein's exploits in Glasgow over the next 13 years the stuff of folklore. His finest hour came when he guided Celtic to European Cup glory in 1967. Also in this picture is assistant manager Sean Fallon, physio Bob Rooney and coach Neil Mochan (Daily mail)

Think Denis Connaghan couldn't speak English. Seem to rememeber Terry Dick impressing us with that.

No idea about bravery award although Paul Wilson was due one for the abuse he took against the deid co.

Okay, here's the pic with the full team named. The three most difficult to name are usually Frank Welsh, Jim Davidson and Kevin McCool (Glasgow Road hit the post with that one). I'm pretty sure I scanned this from one of the Celtic View summer specials, probably summer 1974 given that this was taken in august 73.
